"Door Handle" starts the third season with the kitchen still burned-out. Saffy pressures Eddy to have it remodeled immediately. Eddy is indecisive on how she wants the kitchen to look. All she can decide on adding to the kitchen is a door handle she has seen somewhere. Mrs. M drops by and continues to steal from her daughter's house, and Bubble arrives with a lap dog instead of a laptop computer. Patsy finds she needs health advice, and goes to Saffy for guidance. Patsy is not familiar with checking her breasts for lumps, so Saffy gives her a hands-on breast check (an absolutely hilarious scene!) Eddy remembers where she's seen the much-wanted door handle, which leads Eddy and Patsy to New York City. The door handle is found and photographed at The Four Seasons Hotel. Eddy and Patsy then venture to St. Mark's Place where Eddy has her bellybutton pierced. Upon arriving home, Eddy discovers Saffy had the kitchen totally remodeled, and learns she had forgotten Saffy's birthday.

Edina's kitchen needs to be remodelled after Patsy's fire and Saffy starts to get frustrated by her mother's lack of practicality and self obsession.
This is another humorous look at Edina's narcissism and how much it grates on Saffy. As funny as it is there are some fairly serious and sad moments presented in a humorous way.
I think my favourite aspect of the episode is that Edina and Patsy pop out to get a new door handle and end up doing something spectacularly indulgent.
All cast are great as always with Joanna Lumley and Julia Sawalha brilliantly performing one immensely awkward scene together.

'Where's the other leg?'
Edina refuses to get the kitchen done, so Saffy takes charge, Patsy asks Saffy for a bit of help.
It's a wonderful start to the third series, it's very funny, a great scenario, with a surprise trip. The usual gaudy fashions apply, and we see the start of the technical revolution, in its infancy here.
The facial expressions from Jennifer Saunders throughout are absolutely hilarious, as a character she's definitely changed from the last two series, she'd even wilder.
Some of the one liners in this episode are absolutely hilarious, and they come thick and fast, one after another.
Bubble very nearly steals the show with her surprise in the bag, but the best scene has to be that moment where Patsy asks for Saffy's help, it's a hilarious moment.
