Film 4's 50 Films to See Before You Die
jboothmillard14 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This was quite an essential list made by Channel 4, relaunching Film 4 on Freeview. There were some good choices for films to see before you die, but a few were just average, especially number one, but I can agree I guess with most of the choices. Films on the list included: Secrets & Lies, Cabaret, Brazil, Raising Arizona, Princess Mononoke, Dawn Of The Dead, Manhunter, The King of Comedy, The Ipcress File, Mulholland Drive, Fight Club, The Ladykillers, The Royal Tenenbaums, Three Colours: Blue, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Scarface, Pink Flamingos, Hero, The Breakfast Club, Trainspotting, Erin Brockovich, A Night at the Opera, Heavenly Creatures, The Player, Boyz n the Hood, Black Narcissus, Pulp Fiction, The Shawshank Redemption, Lost In, Translation, Alien, Donnie Darko, Breathless (À Bout De Soufflé), North by Northwest, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Sexy Beast, Chinatown, City Of God, The Apartment and number one, Apocalypse Now, where was The Green Mile? With contributions by Jenny Agutter, Juliette Binoche, Erin Brockovich-Ellis, Sir Michael Caine, Brian Cox, Barry Cryer, Edward Furlong, Laura Harring, Dennis Hopper, Samuel L. Jackson, James King, Sir Ben Kingsley, Karen Krizanovich, Christiane Kubrick, Mike Leigh, Ewan McGregor, Liza Minnelli, Michael Palin, Robert Patrick, Jonathan Pryce, George A. Romero, Eli Roth, Sir Ridley Scott, Martin Sheen, Steven Spielberg, Quentin Tarantino, John Waters, Sigourney Weaver and Michael York. Very good!
