- Now Red finally has reached retirement, he realizes it's not really what he wants. Kitty wants them to take a trip together. Red says that he saw the world when he was in the Navy, and it shot at him. Hyde wants Red to relax and sleep in. Red is livid with listening to Phil Donahue give the same advice to each woman on his show.
Bored to death, Red grabs an opportunity to help out as handyman in the record shop, but drives the boys crazy. Hyde has invited Red to fix a light switch that keeps shocking people. Once Red fixes the light, he finds other things to fix. Red closes down the shop to have room to work (he finds hinges and windows that need work) and threatens to clean the back room which has their weed growing in it. So, Steven sends him home which makes Red angry.
Kitty insists he makes up with Hyde. Red walked in on her taking a bath without bubbles and she reminds Hyde that he is a member of the family and has to do his bit to keep Red busy. So, Hyde wrecks things Red can repair at home - only to be told he's taking it easy after all. Hyde has intentionally destroyed the basement (TV, washing machine, the heater in his room) and is now miserable. Red goes fishing and Hyde has to pay if he calls in a repairman.
Meanwhile Jackie has finally admitted she wants Fez, who now is no longer chasing her but Hillary. Donna reminds Jackie of all the things that she has said about Fez over the years including poor, sweaty, stinky, crazy, sick, ridiculous, foreign, Spazoid, weirdo, and so on.
Fez is still disgusting. He plays Candyland without his pants on and buys a waterbed for Hillary so they can have sex with the bed making squeaking noises. Jackie is worried that she is still attracted to Fez.
Donna takes her to therapy with Dr. Hammond (Tom Bosley). Donna herself attended therapy a few years ago when her parents were going through a divorce. Hammond's patients include Kitty. Hammond's whose own marriage is the opposite of what he preaches as basis for a good relationship. Dr Hammond & his wife yell at each other over the phone and don't even share meals. Hammond points out that Jackie only falls for unavailable men. Kelso are Hyde were emotionally unavailable and Jackie noticed Fez only when he was taken. Hammond says that perhaps Jackie is not really in love with Fez, but only attracted to him since he is unavailable.
Hillary declares that she is going to become a nun and leaves for Italy. Jackie consoles Fez, who believes he will die alone with nothing but candy and a box full of pornography to keep him company. Jackie says that Fez is funny and cute and that any girl would be lucky to have him. Jackie is worried that now Fez is available, and she still likes him. Hyde and Randy find out that Jackie has feelings for Fez and are cool with it. Jackie goes to confess her feelings to Fez, but before she can say anything, Fez announces that he has decided not to be tied down by one woman.
