- Kitty, Red and the gang are returning from a carnival. Kitty had given her ring to Fez for safekeeping.
Kitty asks for her ring from Fez in the car just when Red hits a pothole and Fez drops it out the window. So Red stops the car and the kids look for it in the woods. Red takes Kitty back home for margaritas to calm her down. Donna had been waiting the entire day to get some alone time with Randy.
Donna suggests splitting into teams to look for the ring. Donna wants to go with Randy, but Jackie tags with Donna and Randy goes with Hyde. Donna says that she wants to go with Randy. Jackie refuses to go with Hyde as they are both bitterly fighting with each other.
After a little while the group comes back together, and this time Randy flips a coin and leaves with Donna as his search partner without waiting for the coin to fall. Suddenly, they realize that Fez has been missing for a while.
They start looking for Fez and come across a creek. Jackie is acting very cranky and high maintenance. Hyde enjoys taunting Jackie, who refused to team up boy-girl and manages to get wet all alone and falls in the creek. Jackie is livid with Hyde. Hyde and Randy leave the girls together and go to look for Fez.
Kitty blames Red for his rash driving, while Red blames Kitty for giving the ring to Fez. Kitty is upset that Red is not more upset about losing the ring. She says, leaving aside the sentimental value, the ring still cost a $1000. Bob comes over and blurts out that Red gave her a $65, not $1,000 ring (as Kitty believes it is), so he's in the doghouse (Kitty relegates him to sleeping on the couch) until he tells the rather romantic truth.
Red was just back from Korea and didn't have money for an expensive ring. He couldn't wait to marry Kitty as it would have taken him very long to save $1000, so got a $65 ring that he could afford and proposed. Red planned to change the ring when he saved a $1000. But then Kitty fell in love with the ring.
Fez gets lost and hides in a cave with his goldfish until Bob finds the candy trail Fez accidentally left. Meanwhile Randy and Hyde look for Fez and walk in on Donna peeing in the woods and exposes her 'wet' half. The gang starts heading back and the couples come across the creek again. This time Hyde offers help and Jackie accepts, but Hyde gets imbalanced, and Jackie again ends up in the water. The kid never found the ring in the woods.
Kitty gets value for money in the end. She finds her $65 ring in the backside of the car, in the luggage compartment of the Vista Cruiser. But by then, Red had already ordered her a new ring with a 1 carat diamond and with a band of white gold. Kitty likes her new ring a lot better, and never reveals to Red that she found the old ring.
