Jodi finds out that Tom Braiden knows who Rob is and goes to warn him just as Tom shoots at Rob and gives chase.
- After a week back in Australia, Nick finds it hard to settle. Killarney has no need of him and so he sets his eyes on Wilgul once more, anxious to start up the cattle breeding program he never had the chance to realise in Argentina. He becomes obsessed with getting the property working again and when Tess discovers he's also been doing some work on the side for Carlos in Buenos Aires, she accuses him of wanting his old job back, in spite of what happened last time. A journalist, Tom Braiden, arrives, claiming to do a story on Nick's return from the dead. Sick of the media attention, Nick fobs him off, but Tom immediately zeros in on Jodi-he is very interested to know whether or not she has a boyfriend, it seems there's a lot more to Tom than meets the eye. Is it just coincidence that his arrival takes place on the same day that Jodi gives Rob the photos she took of his father's grave? Meanwhile, Phoenix is seemingly agitated as the brumbies return, ostensibly to take her back. Tess and Stevie move her to a safer paddock but another visit from the brumbies leads to the discovery that Phoenix is already pregnant, no doubt to the brumby stallion.
