- While Jim Brass is in surgery the team has two cases to tackle. The first involves a man, found decapitated on train tracks, with a 19-inch waist. Further investigation reveals that he wore a wasp corset, as was fashionable with gentlemen during the Civil War. The other crime scene is in a hotel room where a man is found in his boxers, dead, on the bed. Scattered around the room are evidence of a wild night of alcohol, drugs, and sex. Ellie, Brass's estranged daughter, comes to visit her father from LA.—Ploy P.
- Capt. Brass is fighting for his life and Grissom tells the doctor that he has Power of Attorney, and decides he shall be submitted to a surgery to remove the bullet that is endangering his life. He also contacts Ellie, informing the condition of her father. Grissom is summoned to a crime scene of a man with severed head on the train tracks. Nick, Sara and Sofia work in the case and they learn that the victim is Caleb Carson. When David Phillips arrives in the scene, they see that the victim has a very small waist. Grissom learns that Carson used corset and was a huge fan of the American Civil War. His house looks like a museum and soon they discover what happened to Carlson. Meanwhile, Catherine and Warrick investigate the death of Manny Rupert, who was found by his super dead on his bed. His apartment is trashed, with cocaine, pills and marijuana, and they believe Manny gave a party.
