This is the second time that Skeletor's original five Evil Warriors from Diamond Ray of Disappearance (1983) are gathered together. The third and final time will be in Three on a Dare (1984).
The map that King Randor holds while traveling in the Attak Trak was designed by Bill Wray and features various in-jokes. Most notably, as their vehicle is traveling through a forest, 'This Forest' is a location. 'Hershensohn Lake' refers to senior storyboard artist Wes Herschensohn, 'Rolnik River' to storyboard artist Sharon Forward (also known as Sharon Rolnik) and there is a very tiny reference to a river named Joan Rivers as well as the Emerald City from the land of Oz.
The animation of the Shadow Beasts charging into battle would be reused in The Rarest Gift of All (1984).
The animation of He-Man retrieving the Sky Sled from the back of the Attak Trak will be seen again in Journey to Stone City (1985) & Revenge Is Never Sweet (1984).
The animated background seen when the Attak Trak is firing at the screen would be used again in One for All (1984).
