Floyd is in a rush to get to Sam's post office as he's expecting the latest letter from his lonely-hearts correspondent Camille Tewkesbury. He is especially anticipating this letter since in his last, he sent her a photograph of himself complete with hair (i.e. he was wearing a toupee), and he is expecting her to return the gesture. Instead, what he receives is a Dear John letter with his own photograph sent back. On the trip back to the Shady Rest, Kate tries to console a despondent Floyd using a little psychology. Kate's talk doesn't have quite the result she was hoping or expecting. Kate has to get herself out of the mess she created. Meanwhile, the Hooterville Hornets football team, coached by Uncle Joe, was drubbed yet again, this time by the team from Pixley. While the people of Hooterville try to get Joe to resign to give them a better chance, Joe thinks he has a secret weapon to win the next game.
