- Arithmetically-challenged Beaver is mystified by a better-than-average grade on his report card, unaware that the dastardly duo, Eddie Haskell and Lumpy Rutherford, altered the card en route to Ward's desk drawer.
- Wally and Ward help Beaver with his homework since he is doing poorly in math. When his report card is hand delivered to the house, Eddie and Lumpy get it first and change the math grade from D- to B+. Ward and June are thrilled, but Beaver knows something is wrong-he just can't figure out what.—Ronny Bailey
- Everyone in the family knows that arithmetic is Beaver's weakest subject. Wally is helping Beaver with his arithmetic homework, and Ward vows to help the following couple of nights. The homework is as exasperating for Wally and Ward as it is for Beaver, but at least they know he is trying. The assistance doesn't yield the results they want as he ends up with a D- on his report card. As Beaver has to go to the dentist when the report cards are handed out, Gilbert brings it to the Cleaver house and hands it over to the only people around - Eddie and Lumpy - who secretly decide to change that D- to a B+ as a gag. Ward, June and Beaver are all pleasantly surprised by the grade. Ward and June believe Beaver deserves some sort of reward for his hard effort in getting that grade. However, Beaver, deep in his heart, knows that something doesn't quite add up as his arithmetic test scores do not add up to a B+. So what will happen when they all find out about Beaver's true arithmetic grade, one that Ward and June may believe Beaver changed himself?—Huggo
