. . . and the classic Aston Martin driven by "James Bond" (Pierce Brosnan) it's up against in GOLDENEYE is just a "venerable machine," says frequent Bond flick stunt car coordinator Remy Julienne in this not-quite-three-minutes-long DVD extra. Mr. Julienne was an equal opportunity crasher, wrecking BOTH cars one day during the GOLDENEYE shoot, he confesses here. Not to worry, though, his team of manufacturers' mechanics had both vehicles looking spanking new first thing the next morning. Brosnan and his rival driver in this scene, Xenia Onatopp (Famke Janssen), only appear here in a brief clip from the finished movie. This is too bad, since it would have been nice to know if Pierce can actually drive a stick, or if he just sits at the wheel of the "hero car" during the shoot, as it languishes on a sound stage with back-projected scenery running behind it.
