Surprise.

I was very surprised how good Australias Next Top Model was compared to other versions of Top Model. Very profesionally done interesting photoshoots, smart girls and less drama. One thing this show is notorious - drama. Sometimes girls manage to make it out of the thin air and blow it to he max. Australia's Next Top Model manages to keep a high leve of profesionalism and class, girls don't throw tantrums or get into fights but help and support eatch other. That is an interesting thing to see after catfights. It feels like judges really care to make these girls not only ready for modeling work, but also grow as people.

Nothing Top About It!!!

Warning: Spoilers
After watching the first season of ANTM I was horrified at how Alana was talked about and treated by the judges. Here is this stunningly beautiful young lady and each of you talked about her with such disgust. You said she was fat with an awful body, when in reality she was perfectly curvy and girly. She wasn't a thin young woman who looked as if she was anorexic.

I've never seen professionals act as unprofessional as the judges did the day they sent Alana home. It was pathetic and totally turned me off of ever watching any top model show again. I also intend on sharing what you did during judging.

I just wanted to cry for her...it was truly one of if not the worst example of bullying, jealousy and viciousness that I've seen on t.v.

How embarrassed and hurt she must have been. I imagine her poor parents were devastated to watch their daughter get emotionally abused.

How proud these judges must be...what an incredibly nasty example they just set for the young women of not just your great country...but young women world wide.

Never again will I watch it and I will not recommend it to anyone...EVER!!!

Mediocre

Warning: Spoilers
I can't understand the UK's thinking when it comes to picking a model. The ones on the show were horrible! Their is beautiful women in everyday society and they chose mediocre ppl for the show, glammed em up, and called it a model. Even the US did a better job!! Your Decisions were Rigged and Stagged for TV!! NOT IMPRESSED!!

Shockingly bad offshoot

Warning: Spoilers
The first two seasons require the girls to pose nude and the male judges and others are overtly sexual using the girls in a grotesque way. Frequent shots are showed of the young women while they are changing showing bare breasts and buttocks.

In season 1- One thin but not emancipated girl was bullied by judges about her weight until she was sent home for being too curvy and a girl with serious mental health issues was deemed the winner. Most of the girls were unattractive, uneducated, and unpleasant.

Season 2 featured drunken antics, sexual promiscuity, bullying, and the winner was actually the chief bully who had a serious health issue who was allowed to return to the contest after two weeks in the hospital, still weak enough to have to sit challenges out. CLEARLY the agenda was that this girl should win at all costs. Again, this season was also filled with ignorant and uneducated young women. Things were so bad that three girls literally quit within the first few weeks.

Season 3 again had serious bullying issues around another girl who was tall and naturally very thin. This season the age was dropped to 16 with rules for the under 18 girls that were clearly not enforced. It got so bad that the judges eventually intervened. Luckily the winner of this season was a mature girl who did very well in her career. Extremely young girls got a "reward" of doing a sexualized catwalk in underwear in a pub with adult men surrounding them.

Season 4 again sees a SERIOUS case of bullying. Again, a group of younger girls picking this time on a fragile girl their own age. I stopped watching mid season when the worst actors were repeatedly rewarded for bad behavior.

I can't imagine how Australia justifies the seriously grotesque sexualization of actual children. I understand the sleazy underbelly of the modeling world but here we see it right out in public with greasy old men literally drooling over 16 year old girls who are barely dressed.

These children are unable to spell, know nothing about the world, and are even incredibly ignorant about fashion.
