- Michael Sinterniklaas: I do like to try to find new people, not because I'm tired if hearing the old people, I think if someone serves a part, they serve a part. If I'm not finding just the right newons, I'm gonna have to find them somewhere else. Like 'Berserk' needed very something very specific and uh, and I think I got real lucky then finding those people when I did.
- Lex Lang: The earliest I can remember I was like four or five years old and wanting to create like a show for the family.
- Carrie Savage: For three years, my friends and everyone that knew me kept saying that I should do voice over and i kept saying "No, I'm an actress, I don't- I don't know what that is", I don't know anything about that.", "No", "No", and finally after three years, I figured, I mean, I wasn't getting any auditions so I was like "whoa, I guess I've got nothing to lose".
- Richard Epcar: This is a tough carrier for anyone to choose and it is a roller coaster, it is, it has a lot of ups and downs, and I've been really fortunate and I generally work fairly consistently all the time. And that's- that's unusual.
- Mary Elizabeth McGlynn: And it just sort of clicked, it was like Oh my God, I could be, not only this Queen of the Bugger Empire, but I could be the giant scorpion that she's riding or, whatever, I mean I'm no longer uh, constrained by you know, "we really loved you're performance but we're looking for a red-head" or "you know, you should get a boob job" or "you know maybe you should drop about fifteen pounds" and I'm like "Look, all I wanna do is work and if I'm so wrapped up in all this other crap then it's getting away from what I really wanted to do. Which was just create a character and tell a story so, the first time I was in a booth was like "this is it!".
- Michelle Ruff: I was always self conscious about the way I looked you know, my nose is too big, I need to lose you know, twenty five pounds and be anorexic to be on camera and
- [she laughs]
- Michelle Ruff: I just - I was like "what's the point?" If it's not gonna be fun why do I wanna put myself through that? You know? I'd rather hang on to my self-esteem and do something that makes me happy.
- Luci Christian: The only exposure that I had had to anything that I knew to be Anime, oh I can't believe I would say this, but it was in college and these guys were watching Hentai and so when they were like "Oh it's Anime", I was like,
- [she squeals and laughs]
- Luci Christian: "I don't know what you think I'm gonna be making sounds about in your booth. at the agency but I don't do it!" and they they were like, "what are you talking about? This is a sixteen year old girl, yada-yada-da. ADV Films", and I said "oh, okay". and got cast in Neo-Ranga.
