- Pee-wee Herman: I know. Let's pretend it's a holiday.
- Globey: Yeah, but which holiday?
- Pee-wee Herman: Hmm. All of them! We'll roll them altogether, and we'll call it, uh... Playhouse Day.
- [everyone cheers]
- Pee-wee Herman: What a drag. Nobody can come over to play because everyone has to work.
- Randy: What ya expect? It's not like it's a holiday, you know.
- Pee-wee Herman: Yeah. Too bad it isn't a holiday, then everybody can come over to celebrate.
- Chairry: What's your favorite holiday, Pee-wee?
- Pee-wee Herman: That's a thought question, Chairry.
- King of Cartoons: As King of Cartoons, I hereby declare today officially Playhouse Day.
- [everyone cheers]
- King of Cartoons: I'm going to proclaim the new holiday all across Puppetland.
- [Miss Yvonne and Cowboy Curtis enter the front door of the Playhouse]
- Pee-wee Herman: Miss Yvonne, Cowboy Curtis. I thought you had to work.
- Cowboy Curtis: So did we, but that was before the King of Cartoons made today an official holiday.
- Miss Yvonne: Nobody has to work.
- [last lines]
- Pee-wee Herman: It sure was fun making our own holiday. Remember, Playhouse Day can be on any day you want, because Playhouse Day is really just a day for everyone to do their thing.
- [everyone screams]
