Wow, The return of a great show!!!!!!!!
wolfmano2321 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Eight hours after the escape, Michael, Lincoln, Sucre, C-Note and Abruzzi continue to run for their lives as Special Agent Alexander Mahone is brought in from the FBI to lead the search for the fugitives.

Hours earlier they pulled off the greatest break in US history, but as many people know the greatest laid plans of mice and men don't always go the way they are planed. When Abruzzi's plane took off, they have to go with plan "B". This involves a place called Oswego more specifically "Ripe Chance Woods". But for all the planing Michael did, he did not count on Special Agent Alexander Mahone, a man who like Michael sees patterns where everybody else sees chaos. Meanwhile Veronica, has confronted Terrence Steadman(played now by Jeff Perry because John Billingsley left to join the cast of the series "The Nine")and discovers that he is not hiding, but rather a prisoner of the Blackfoot Mansion, and calls the police to report the president of a crime. Back in Oswego, the other fugitives mainly T-Bag, stole a cooler full of ice and placing his severed hand inside goes to a clinic to have it reattached, but unfortunately for him it's an animal hospital. Mahone along with Bellick and other law enforcement track them to a storage facility in Oswego, and while Michael and the others are inside they surround the place and prepare for a breach just as Lincoln opens the grate entrance. inside the storage locker, nothing. A dead end... and where are the fugitives, at Oswego cemetery, preparing to dig in the grave of E. Chance Woods, the grave marker reading "R.I.P, E. Chance Woods".

Down in the grave, they find what was supposed to be a weeks worth of clothes for Michael and Lincoln, but since they are five of them, the clothes must be dived up. But all is not, well for genius Agent Mahone figured out what "Ripe Chance woods" meant. And tracked them to the cemetery. But they escape by infiltrating the populace of Oswego. They reach a Garage where Michael stashed a car, giving Lincoln a chance to call Veronica. Talking to him she tells Lincoln that Terrence is still alive and the police are their, the officer tells her to hang up the phone turning to ask him why she stares down the barrel of his gun BLAM BLAM BLAM!!!! on the other end of the phone, Lincoln collapses in tears. as the episode comes to a close the camera closes in on Veronica's dead body, twice in the chest once in the head, by the book execution.

The Most Wanted Men in America
claudio_carvalho10 October 2008
Michael, Lincoln, Sucre, C-Note and Abruzzi escape from Bellick and his men and meet a hunter and his daughter in the wood; they carjack his car and head to Oswego, where Michael stored clothes, cell phones, money and a car for Lincoln and himself in a grave in a cemetery. Meanwhile, the FBI Agernt Alexander Mahone is assigned to track the fugitives, and he investigates the last steps of Michael before going to Fox River, trying to think like him and understand his tattoos. The heartbroken Sara survives to the OD in the hospital and awakes from the coma. Later she finds an origami in her purse with a ciphered message of Michael. Veronica discovers that she is locked in the armored mansion with Terrence and there is no way out. She decides to call the police and while talking to Lincoln, armed men from the Company arrive and kill her. T-Bag brings his severed hand to a veterinary clinic and forces the veterinary surgeon to implant it without anesthesia.

In this first episode of the Second Season, the smart FBI Agent Alexander Mahone is introduced and shows that he is a very clever man. However, Veronica is gone and I regret it since the sweet character performed by Robin Tunney was one of my favorites. The number of casualties due to the attempt to save Lincoln is impressive: his ex-wife, her husband, the bishop, Leticia, Veronica, her fiancé, her doorman, Nick, Danny plus the tragedies in Michael, Sara and LJ's lives. But I hope that in the end truth prevails. My vote is eight.

Break that only started with prison

Warning: Spoilers
Overall, it was an enjoyable premiere of the season that has a needed set up. At least it gives an overview of where characters go from here. And I liked that FBI agent guy that was smart enough to dig deeper and pay attention to the tattoo. I don't know (it's my first time watching) and frankly don't care if he's a part of conspiracy plot, I'm just so glad to see someone doing his job right. But I gotta say that I'm a bit disappointed. There're just some things (and some of them go from season 1) that I really can't ignore and don't like at all. I really feel the need to point them out.

1) Veronica's death. Extremely underwhelming and made me feel absolutely nothing because of how incautious and naive she was. Her death is fully on her. Was it really that hard for her to buy a gun? Didn't she realize by that moment what kind of people were behind it all and how dangerous it might be to even call to a police? Also don't understand her words to Linc about turning himself in. Too optimistic

2) Sara. At the end of season one it seemed to me that her main motive to help Michael with his plan was the fact that she realized that it was the only way for an innocent man like Linc to stay alive because her father let it happen so he could move up the career ladder. I thought that she was really disappointed in her father, this whole case kinda turned things on their heads for her and that's why she risked, that's why she broke down. And I liked it. But the writers just had to reduce it to a banal soap opera.

3) How come it took some time from FBI to get to Michael's apartment? Wasn't it like the first thing to do when you try to find anything related? Talk to everyone he knows, visit his place, his work. But I guess it's just me and I consider it as a little nitpick cause they've done it fast enough.

With that being said, I'm just upset I wasn't able to like this episode as much as I could've but I still think it was a good one.

Too much

Warning: Spoilers
The final scene has haunted me constantly since seeing it... nothing has been able to get it out of my head. The futility, the utter and complete futility... Especially after the season 1 finale where Nick sacrificed his father's and his own life specifically to protect her. This was a disturbingly messed up way to terminate the legal action aspect of the story. We've watched Veronica and Nick follow the outside trails on this case for a long time. The sudden comedown from uneasy triumph to imminent and inescapable death -- I can't handle it.

Pretty much everyone's death on this show has been utterly meaningless. (The Company guy is the only one who IMO deserved it). I don't think I can watch anymore. (I liked watching Michael execute and adapt his master plan, but I think even that will start to fade from the plot, with Mahone unraveling it rapidly.)

I expect by the end of the series, out of Lincoln, Michael, and LJ, only one will still be alive. If that. As a result, I don't really see much point in watching how that happens.

Overrated. Poorly written. But addictive tho

This show has a lot of potential. Great plot, interesting characters, and entertaining enough. But many incidents just don't make much sense. Season 1 which was tolerable, entertaining even with many loopholes. but first ep of season 2 just makes me wanna stop watching completely.

After all that veronica went thru, she still thinks that she can take them on by herself and decided to get help from the local authorities instead? Her character is definitely smarter than to make that kind of mistake. Very frustrating to watch to see stupid out of character mistakes over and over again just so they stick to the plot. It's actually from poor writing and thinking that the audience will just believe everything they see on TV. They could either make the show shorter or put more effort into the details of their script. I actually regret having started watching it bcos they always leave u with cliffhangers.

Anyhow, you're not missing much if you haven't watched it already. But ok if u just wanna kill time without thinking too much.
