Biblical-themed episode covers the legend of Sodom & Gomorrah, two ancient cities which were destroyed by God for their depravity and sin, though some worthy souls were spared, such as Lott, though his wife was foolish indeed to look back, and be turned into a pillar of salt... Modern-day scholars debate the veracity of the story, and determine that the most likely place it would have existed was in the middle of a crater in the dead sea, which is in fact covered in barren salts. Interesting and even-handed approach to this subject matter make for a fine viewing experience, which recaptures its specific time and place in its vividly dry detail.

In Search Of... "Sodom and Gomorrah" (1979)
The mythical Biblical cities of Sodom and Gomorrah are the subject of this episode, which tries to determine if the cities were real and if so where they were located. If you're a fan of the series then you know that there were a few episodes aimed at Biblical issues and this one here is a little better than the others. This one works well because we're given some great details about things people were able to locate of the cities and we also get a couple good theories about what could have happened to them. Fans of the series should certainly be entertained by this one.
