Carnage at the Cauldron
Chip_douglas1 April 2007
Warning: Spoilers
We are back at the Cauldron and for those of you who have just joined us, Crockagor is facing off against insect warrior Krutch. The spiky savage sponsored by Count Dooku is at a disadvantage here, as h, Crockagor has four arms less than Krutch. Yes, Krutch has caught the crocker in it's web, or net if you will. One a bash on the head and the crock's a croaking. No time for the Insectoid to savor his victory, for it is mercilessly split in twine by hired fighter Kulltu Kutta riding his barely tamed Sowsquatch. We can see Blorga of Gamorr engaging Aqualish assassin Grunda Dolma in the background, though it looks like the pair of them might be coming so some sort of understanding there.

Carl the mighty Shikitari has got the upper hand on Bugnaught as the green Goliath holds the droid aloft but oh, hold on a parsec, Bugnaught turns the tides by using his flame trowing arm on Carl's bug-eyed kisser. We have just been informed that none other than the illustrious Count Dooku, leader of the separatist movement, has just taken his usual seat here at the Rattatak Bloodgames. He will not be amused to learn his usual champion, Crockagor, has already made the final jump. Everywhere you look there are deadly battles abound as Flalios swings his deadly bolo balls at Rattatak's own Swyy'm_Ee the Trogodile with his crooked fi'lang blades. And here comes Nikto Jasper McKnives from the planet Kintan. Always willing to sacrifice any and all opponent to the cult of M'dweshuu. Meanwhile, Blorga the Gammorean has gutted Bugnaught and Grunda Dolma takes out the knife wielding Mantoid. Apparently the aliens have decided it's easier to outsmart a couple of droids than a living sentient.

In that case, TaggeCo's L8-L9 droid is ready to take up any carbon based life form's challenge as he fires up his flamethrowers. It seems Baron Orman Tagge himself is attending the spectacle tonight, ready to produce an army of these droids to whichever side offers the most. But wait, what's this? An unannounced entry has entered the arena! The hooded figure removes it's cloak, revealing... revealing herself to be Rattatak native Assaj Ventress! The tag-team of Blorga and Dolma immediately thrown themselves at her, but are just as easily pushed back by what seems to be some kind of mystical energy field! Well, the only rule at Rattatak is that there are no rules, and this little lady has proved herself a worthy opponent in one fell swoop. The L8-L9 is aiming his fireballs at her now, but Ventress manages to outrun all of them. Look at that girl go! She passes Nilo the Rodisar and the unnamed Golden armored warrior, who were too busy staring each other down to see them great balls of fire heading their way. At least ten other gladiators are engulfed in flames before Ventress somersaults back over L8-L9 and, with one hand, levitates the droid straight into a stalactite above. Spectators in the know see the future of TaggeCo's droid army vanish before their multiple eyes.

Now our Asaj has got the undivided attention of Blorga, Swyy'm-Ee, Flalios and McKnives. How will she react? She entices the others to 'bring it on' as they say on Rattatak! Houk combatant Anchor Blue leads the charge and is the first to be squished by a piece of rock pulled from the ceiling by Ventress' telepathic mind. Swyym'Ee, Jasper, Krutch and the Golden armored one follow suit. Only a chained Hoth Wampa comes close to our Rattataki girl, but is knocked out by the deadly flail of the Giant Flog. It looks like the Flog wants Asaj all to his own, folks! Ventress jumps back and draws out her weapons for the first time this evening, revealing other that two light-sabers! The green one appears to be her late master Ky Narec's former weapon, the blue one may be her own construction. No wonder she's been getting away with all these deadly mind tricks. Ventress has separated the Giant Flog's mighty flail, sending it crashing into the viewing box of the creature's master, Kesivo. Obviously even spectators's lives are on the line here at the Cauldron. Ahum... The little lady is charging the mighty beast now. They pass each other... and the Flog is finished! His kneecaps were not light-saber proof. Asaj Ventress is the last one standing, ladies and droids. The Arena is full of rubble and deceased gladiators, many of whom already pounded into the ground. Count Dooku is applauding Ventress. Quiet, everybody, the lady speaks for the first time tonight. Well, if that don't beat all, she claims to be a Sith, that ancient Dark Jedi cult nobody's talked about for over a millennium. That's gonna make her a hot topic on many a message board until our next exciting chapter!
