The Project is based on a novel by Thor Thorsteinsson who presented the project to director Olaf de Fleur before it came out. Olaf de Fleur stated that he wanted to make a film out of it few days after he read it.
Director Olaf de Fleur changed most of the scenes five minutes before shooting, he re-wrote them with the actors.
German character Wolfgang Prinzel (Stefan Schaefer) refused to cut is hair for half a year before filming in celebration of being cast in a film.
Co-producer Thorvardur Bjorgulfsson who provided the HD gear to shoot the film, loved the script so much that he insisted on becoming a co-producer.
The screenplay went through seven rounds of drafts before the shooting screenplay was ready.
