Follow-up to earlier episode 'Reincarnation', this entry looks further into the topic, and focuses on more people who have claimed to be reborn, like a woman undergoing hypnosis to overcome her fears of men, to a most strange case of twins who were tragically killed in a car accident, only to be reborn again as twins to the same parents!(Though they are skeptical of this, their father believes it.) Third case involves a Scottish woman convinced she is reincarnated royalty, and her visit to her former castle(so she claims) is most interesting, and the woman is quite colorful... Whether this convinces the viewer to the reality of the phenomena is of course left up to them, but result is a worthy installment, and last of the fourth season.

One of the better episodes! A women has trouble with men in her relationships. Through regression therapy the patient died a violent death by a male attacker in a past life! A fathers children died in a tragic auto accident. Unexplained knowledge from the father's new twin daughters ask the question are the twins reincarnated? The narration ask could the women lived a past life or is the repressed memory psychosomatic? Is the father's experience real or psychosomatic? The narrative, asks the experts! Questions the one life belief? Expresses eastern belief of several past lives. Past Lives does not answer the question! Instead, researches the theory. I give past lives an eight out of ten. I liked it.

In Search Of... "Past Lives" (1980)
Regression therapy is the subject of this final episode in the wonderful season four of the series. In previous episodes we've seen stories from people who believe that they remember a previous life and that's the subject here too as we meet a woman who thinks she's having nightmares of her past. We also hear from two sisters who believe they were killed in a car crash and then brought back into the family. There's a third story dealing with a woman who believes she was a King in a previous life. If you're a fan of the series then you'll enjoy this episode as it has a fascinating story and there's no question that all three of the stories are interesting. With that said, as with the previous episodes, what's on display here certainly didn't make me believe that past lives were true.
