Beyond Bermuda
AaronCapenBanner25 September 2014
Fascinating episode is a perfect companion piece to the first season episode 'The Bermuda Triangle' (Which of course gets mentioned) It not only isn't just Bermuda that has weird happenings and disappearances, but the famous five Great Lakes, where several incidents of both airplanes and ships acting in an inexplicable manner(unaware of the danger until they crash or vanish) leaving searchers and investigators baffled as to the cause, or what actions can be taken to correct the situation. Chilling eyewitness accounts and a wonderful atmosphere filmed right on location make this investigation memorable and eerie indeed, and also inspired an equally successful book like Bermuda had.

In Search Of... "The Great Lakes Triangle" (1978)

This episode looks at the mysterious disappearances that have happened in a certain area of the Great Lakes. Many experts say that this area is a lot more dangerous and mysterious than the Bermuda Triangle and it is in a much smaller area with all sorts of communications available. However, with that said, many planes and boats go missing without a trace. This here is another entertaining episode as we hear from a pilot who explains why no one should ever go missing in this area and then we get a few theories as to what is going on. This includes some sort of gravity pull and even an old Indian legend about a giant sea monster.

Fascinating captain just fascinating

Warning: Spoilers
Fascinating captain just fascinating as Spock would say: The Great Lakes Triangle was done like a documentary. Starts in the city of Toronto and the other cities around the lakes. Lot's of water crafts which could be part of the folklore about the triangles many disappearances. The Great Lakes Triangle explains the rescue procedures, incidents, the native folklore, and the sinking of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald! The narrations, experts, directions of story to story, an re enactments keep the viewer entertained. The Great Lakes Triangle was regrettably like many other episode that this episode sinks into the the Great Lakes and disappears. Dose not have the same bite like the Bigfoot episode with the cabin attack. My friend Tony talk about that one for years. Still watchable. 6 stars. Fascinating but not scary!
