Ignotus has been watched and appreciated by the current Pope, Benedictus XVI and by the Italian Prime Minister, Romano Prodi (both of them wrote Max Bartoli a personal letter).
Ignotus was the only official Italian short film during the 2007 European Short Film Festival held last May 7th and 8th, 2007 in Washington D.C. at the Goethe-Institut.
Ignotus has been screened at the 2007 Festa dell'Unità of Pesaro (Italy), as one of the short films that better represented the image of Italy worldwide during the past 15 months.
