- Comedy about a group of American gangsters, who become spies in WWII, lead by John Byner on their secret missions inside Nazi Europe.
- During WWII, Johnny McNarmara was an American gangster who is forced by the U.S. government to work as an undercover agent along with members of his gang or go to prison. It was sort of a cross between "Dirty Dozen" and "It Takes a Thief". There were only 3 or 4 episodes made of which "Operation Dubrovnik" was the only one I remember. The show was filled with silliness along the lines of "Hogan's Heros" or "McHale's Navy". For example, when told they must go to Yugoslavia, one replies, "You go to Slavia, I'll stay here." While waiting in the submarine to be put ashore, they are in that commando blackface used in night operations. MacNarmara does a Jolson impression by singing "Mammy" until he notices a black crew member staring at him with disapproval. In another episode, they go to Turkey where they are told their contact is known as "The Turk"--who later turns out to be Chinese. The show was never run on a regular weekly schedule with episodes run occasionally to fill an open slot, but I'd enjoy seeing them again though for nostalgia's sake.
