No thanks for all the fish . . .

. . . wasted so that Pierce Brosnan could mangle them with his jet engine-powered mini-boat playing James Bond in THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH. Art director Simon Lamont says here that 1,000 pounds of fish (enough to feed a regiment of Marines) were sacrificed to grease Agent 007's skids as he scoots through the marketplace in the film's opening chase sequence. But can Bond's "license to kill" double as a fishing license? I think not. In a world where people such as Karen Carpenter and Keira Knightley appear to be emulating Bobby Sands in the annals of starvation fatalities daily, I say every fish counts! How will they ever make DOLPHIN TALE 3, if James Bond is allowed to dash Hope to get his jollies?!
