It's amazing that for a film that is only three minutes long that this animated film has won so many awards. It begins with a string quartet playing against a plain background. They seem quite happy...until a knucklehead with a tuba appears and again and again he messes up their pretty music. And, again and again, they beat the stuffing out of this annoying man. It's actually quite amazing how tenacious this guy is. Finally, the expression "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" seems to prevail.
Frankly, and I know this will sound mean, I must only assume that film awards must have been very, very easy to come by in 1965, as I can't see much to recommend this film. The animation is poor and the story isn't enough to merit that three minutes of my life.
