Four in the Air
Hitchcoc4 November 2014
It's necessary to find Mooseberries to make the rocket fuel. Gidney and Cloyd are helpless without their help. The only place to find these things is Frostbite Falls, Minnesota, their home town. As usual, Boris and Natasha trick them into a rickety plane, lock them in a seatbelt, and head into the air. Of course, R & B are clueless and trusting. The Peabody and Sherman thing is about Franz Schubert, who has lost his piano. I have to say these are the weakest part of the shows. There is little imagination. The fairy tale is "Beauty and the Beast" where the title figure goes through hell to get a kiss so he can be turned into a prince. His efforts are noble and this is pretty entertaining. There is a neat twist which helps things.

This episode of The Bullwinkle Show focuses . . .

. . . upon the grim headlines punctuating the dark waning days of America's "I Like Ike" years. The Fractured Fairy Tale is BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, starring a fake "I am not a crook" bogus big-foot obviously meant to reference Ike's infamous Vice President. Peabody's Improbable history tackles the Pachyderm Political Party's War on Music, with its dastardly attacks against Elvis and Buddy Holly, by picturing Franz Schubert's piano being pushed off a cliff. A CREEP IN THE DEEP depicts a Soviet spy sub blowing up a Free World port. Even Bullwinkle's Corner, beating MI-6 to the unmasking of Welshman Kim Philby, Code Name TAFFY, as the ringleader of the infamous Cambridge Five Soviet spy cell then undermining Democracies everywhere, serves to argue for the overthrow of Elephantine executive branch miscreants and bad actors.
