Sheer quality. Complex and exciting.

Frankie uncovers DNA evidence proving the body on the slab is not the one they first thought.

Excellent, this is a complex story, which is thought provoking and harrowing, get it's cohesive and easy to follow. At no point did I struggle to follow events.

I'd love to know where Boyd's boss was in these events, all over them in the first case, now he's nowhere to be seen.

Angela Griffin was excellent throughout, a prolific actress, but this for me has always been her best role.

Stunning production values, it looks terrific, particularly the explosion scene.

Excellent. 9/10

Appropriately Titled

This story is appropriately titled. I got burnt out watching it. A story that seemed to be far more of a soap opera than a mystery.

True the series now has a snazzy opening sequence. And the character played by Sue Johnston gives the series a sense of balance. Nevertheless, it seemed as if the filmmakers packed every twist possible into one story. To the point that it became somewhat confusing to follow.

Moreover, this story is heavy-handed with PC influence. Meanwhile, DS Spencer is the only masculine man of color in the story. At least they didn't have him yelling all the time, like in the pilot. The cast ensemble is starting to jell but they're not quite there yet.
