Summary
On the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the Civil War, Andalucia Television recalls the history. "The Civil War in Andalucia" is a production of six chapters, one hour long, which addresses the development of the conflict in this region in a serious and rigorous manner. The series performs a chronological route of the war, beginning with the military coup and ending with the immediate consequences to the end of the fight the 1 of April of 1939. Thanks to an unprecedented documentary work, the series shows unpublished images of the contest found in television archives of the United Kingdom and USA, among other countries. The series has a story line. Fictitious characters represent an anonymous family, whose members are as divided as Spanish society in 1936. Part of that imaginary family is a supporter of the Second Republic, while the rest of it wants the rebels to impose themselves in the war. With their interventions, the members of this family give entrance to each one of the 42 historical landmarks that structure the documentary series. However, it also has the testimony of people who lived the contest.
