Featured Mean Gene Okerlund attempting to interview the Shark, who dropped the gimmick and reclaimed his own name, saying, "I'm not a shark. I'm not a fish. I'm not an avalanche. I'm a man! John Tenta! A 500 lbs. man!" He then had a match against Big Bubba (Ray Traylor), his first ever on American television under his own name, which he won by countout via chasing Bubba out of the ring with a pair of scissors, a reference to how Bubba had shaved half of the Shark's head to kick him out of the Dungeon of Doom.
Featured Lee Marshall narrating a training montage featuring Steve McMichael and Kevin Greene. Later in the episode, Randy Savage called into the show and offered to coach them in their match with Ric Flair and Arn Anderson at WCW the Great American Bash (1996).
Featured Scott Hall, not named as such yet, interrupting Eric Bischoff at the commentary table. Sting (Steve Borden) then made his way out and asked why Hall wanted three of WCW's best when he was out here all alone. Hall said that Sting would get a fight if he wanted one and flicked his toothpick at Sting. Hall was taken away by police and said he would have a "big" surprise the following week, which would be the return of Kevin Nash, who had last been on WCW TV as Vinnie Vegas in 1993.
