- Blood can be seen when shooting enemies, although these are rarely humans.
- Undead creatures fall to pieces when defeated, but there is no blood in these cases.
- There's a cutscene in which part of an undead human character has rotted and decayed.
- 'One-shot-kills' can be initiated by the player, and are animated as head-shots, as this happens, time slows and the player must move the targeting reticule over the enemy's head in order for the move to occur.

- Potentially frightening enemies include giant spiders, undead creatures, and sudden movement from an extremely large octopus.
