Sex & Nudity

  • The female characters are presented as having somewhat exaggerated figures and dressed provocatively.
  • In the opening level, Lara wears a wetsuit revealing a little cleavage and showing lots of leg.

Violence & Gore

  • Some moderate violence.
  • Lara uses weapons like assault rifles, handguns, and grenades to defeat enemies both animal and human.
  • Lara does have the option to use a tranquilizer gun to knock out foes as opposed to killing them and she can also fights with her fists.
  • Faint puffs of red blood are emitted from humans and animals when they are shot.
  • Blood can be seen when shooting enemies, although these are rarely humans.
  • Undead creatures fall to pieces when defeated, but there is no blood in these cases.
  • There's a cutscene in which part of an undead human character has rotted and decayed.
  • 'One-shot-kills' can be initiated by the player, and are animated as head-shots, as this happens, time slows and the player must move the targeting reticule over the enemy's head in order for the move to occur.

  • The game can be quite eerie and tense in places.

  • Potentially frightening enemies include giant spiders, undead creatures, and sudden movement from an extremely large octopus.
