  • This show has a consistent theme of rudeness and the characters often treat each other in a disrespectful manner such as bogey brain, idiot, shut up, stupid, worm, and even smelly nappy baby. Most of these slang terms come from Henry and Margaret.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • In the episode "Horrid Henry and the Dinner Guests", Henry brings a bottle of champagne. This is the only instance in the entire series alcohol has been seen.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • In the majority of episodes, before entering a title card or during the very end of the episode creepy music plays just before Henry yells his iconic "No!" phrase but this is very brief.
  • The episode "Horrid Henry and the Alien Invasion" may cause younger viewers to be frightened from the appearance, voice and transition of the aliens Henry imagines.

Sex & Nudity

  • In the episode "Horrid Henry Goes to Work", Bossy Bill photocopies hundreds of images of his bottom and his dad is disgusted. This scene is played for comedy.
  • In the episode "Horrid Henry's Hiccups" Henry and Ralph look at a page in a book and Ralph says "What's he doing with that cucumber".
  • In the episode "Horrid Henry's Underpants", Henry pulls down Ralph, Al and Berts' trousers revealing underwear. Throughout the episode, they become desperate to get revenge by doing the same to him.
  • In the episode "Horrid Henry's Christmas" Henry plays a prank which causes Steve's pants to come off showing his bottom for a few seconds.
  • Characters can be seen in their underwear at points. Also one bit where Peter shut the door when Henry was going to take a tinkle.
  • In the episode "Horrid Henry's Diary", Henry and Peter both have to share a bath because of the demand from Dad to save water. A glimpse of Peter's bottom is shown before he gets in the bath.

Violence & Gore

  • In the episode "Horrid Henry and the Tooth Fairy" Henry tries to persuade Beefy Bert to punch him in the face in attempt to knock out his tooth, but Bert acts confused and walks away.
  • In the episode "Perfect Peter Pumps Up" the theme of bullying and harrasment is portrayed and Bill constantly antagonises Peter and at the very end of the episode Peter is heard beating him with a spoon although the violence isn't shown it probably the most violent episode.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The episode "Horrid Henry and the Perfect Plant" revolves around a man eating plant which agitates Henry and gives him scary dreams this could be considered the scariest episode.
  • At the end of the episode "Horrid Henry and the Weird Werewolf" Henry stares in a mirror to see he has Werewolf hands and yells his iconic scream forgetting it was used as a prank. The scene, music and Henry's facial expression can make this scene frightening for young viewers.
  • The episode "Horrid Henry's Haunted House" is by far one of the creepier episodes. One scene sees Henry make spooky noices under the bed to scare Steve but the most creepy moment is when Aunt Ruby tells the story of a wealthy man who fell into a well who haunts the residence.
  • At the end of the episode "Horrid Henry's Sleepover" Henry hallucinates as he walks through a dark hallway of the eccentric family and becomes frightened and calls his dad to tell him to get him. This is one of the scariest and most intense endings to an episode.
