Tony is called in to help Alex, who's investigating a series of grizzly murders, where the killer breaks in, attacks their victims, and covers up their faces with a plastic bag, an old friend of Tony's pops up at the same time.
It's a very, very strong end to the final series, this is one super gritty, macabre episode, this story really is the stuff of nightmares. The attacks seem so random, but they are brutal, the crimes really are very grizzly.
Dramatic and unsettling, the ending is edge of the seat viewing, it's enough to have you on the edge of your seat.
Jonathan Goode is a very interesting character, he's intelligent, he's clever, he's the first person that manages to cause a divide between Tony and Alex. That mother and son are weird and creepy to the nth degree too.
Fantastic acting here, I've always classed Michael Maloney as one of the best, he justifies my opinion of him here, what an actor, he can play any part.
Very, very good.
8/10.
