Terrible smithing show. Sped up far too much and edited well so as the 'smiths' could be anybody. Seems like a show with actors cut with tradesmen. Would be comparable to watching how swords are made on "How it's Made". Again is it really the 'stars' making the items or actors making the show. With a typical backline story for the British guy, leaving home to move to America, Why do this if you cant do the basics? Making the blade thicker so he can reduce on grinder to make quenching easier? No expertise. Cant make a guard... Really?! I dont want to see people making a blade with todays technology, I want to see bow they managed to make a blade with contemporary technology. This shows sequal could easily be made with a 3D printer, at least then the true artisan would be known. Probably more interesting to watch also. Forged in Fire need not be worried. Forged in Steele making swords is what lip-sync is to concerts.
