- TriviaIn one of the scenes where Bobby is in a coma Jared Padalecki (Sam) was twisting Jim Beaver's (Bobby) toes.
- GoofsThroughout the series (to this point) the '67 Impala had spotlights mounted to both the driver and passenger sides of the car. In this episode (#3.10) they are clearly missing, assuming a different car was used in this episode.
- Quotes
EvilDean: Dad knew who you really were. Good solider, nothing else. Daddy's blunt little instrument. Your own father didn't care whether you lived or died. Why should you?
Dean Winchester: Son of a bitch!
[shoves Evil Dean]
Dean Winchester: My father was an obsessed bastard!
[kick Evil Dean against the wall. Hits him with the sawed off shot gun and pins him with it]
Dean Winchester: All that crap he dumped on me about protecting Sam, that was his crap. He's the one that couldn't protect his family!
[hits Evil Dean again]
Dean Winchester: He's the one who let mom die! Who wasn't there for Sam, I always was! It wasn't fair! I didn't deserve what he put on me and I don't deserve to go to Hell!
[shoots Evil Dean, killing him instantly]
EvilDean: [wakes up with demon black eyes] You can't escape me, Dean. You're gonna die. And this. This is what you are going to become!
- ConnectionsReferences The Wizard of Oz (1939)
"Dream a Little Dream of Me" is an episode visibly inspired in "A Nightmare on Elm Street" with the killer capable of entering in the dreams of his victims, and turning them into nightmares. The erotic dream of Sam with Bela is funny and the dream of Dean with the gorgeous Lisa Braeden apparently discloses his dream of raising a family of his own. The confrontation with his demon image seems to have changed his perspective of life. However, the naiveness of the brothers with the tricky Bela is irritating. My vote is seven.
