Ignorant

Great movie, but as a Dutch person I have one major frustration; Frysian horses are NOT from Denmark, they are from Friesland, a province in the Netherlands!!!

Are people from the american continents really THAT ignorant about things that are farther than their own back yard?

Common people, do better!!!

The Danes are from Denmark, the Dutch (and Frysian horses) are from the Netherlands... Other than that, it's a decent movie, nice to learn something about a different culture and country, maybe you Americans should try that for a change, might save you from insulting multiple countries in a single word.

Very real and moving

I believe the leukemia girl's name is Leticia, an alumna from SCU, 1970s. I saw her story in the early 90s on TV 20/20--it was the exact story: the horses, the ranch, her debilitating rare illness, Mexican ethnicity, and her mother. As a cancer survivor, I vicariously enjoyed the movie, sometimes with a knot in my throat. It's a moving story of a young girl who is faced with the greatest challenge in her life, and her mother by her side giving her comfort and love. I loved the music, the Spanish and English music, the dancing horses, the training of horses with music, the bonding of human and animal. Well done.
