In this first episode, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau takes us to the northern part of Greenland, to visit the Thule Air Base, the USAF's most northern base, where his father used to work in the 80's.
Nikolaj and his brother-in-law Peter, goes on an epic expedition to the Greenland icecap, to witness what impact the climate change to the environment does.
Nikolaj is joined by his wife Nukâka, and together they travel to Uummannaq in Western Greenland, where she grew up as a child. Nukâka explains how it was to grow up with sled dogs, snowmobile scooters, fishing etc.
This time, we are travelling with Nikolaj, to the isolated eastern part of Greenland. Ever drifting ice makes this area possible to approach by ship, more than a handful of months of the year.
In this last part, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau travel with us to the southern part of Greenland, where he and his family owns a cottage. A meeting with the UN climate expert Jo Scheuer, reveals how Greenland may take advantage of climate changes.
