Peabody and Sherman give Casanova the impetus to write his memoirs. This cartoon aired in 1961, only a year after Giacomo Casanova's Histoire de ma vie was published in complete and unedited form for the first time. Casanova's memoirs were written in the 1790s, but first published in 1821, and always in heavily condensed form until the groundbreaking 1960 edition.
