This isn't a Crash game and I'll tell you why

"Crash of the Titans", often referred to as "Crash Titans", was probably the first Crash game I ever played and one of the ones I've played the most. I only recently finished it, which allowed me to notice some flaws that had previously escaped my attention.

Crash Titans is an adventure/fighting game with a completely new gameplay style and design. While these changes didn't bother me much, and the game overall is decent, there are some aspects that could have been better. The Titans have good designs (which even scared me a bit when I was younger), some stages are pleasant to look at and the soundtrack is memorable and unique.

While I did enjoy parts of the game, there were also many elements that I thought were bad. The gameplay in Crash Titans can be repetitive and has many frustrating moments. When you play as Crash fighting the monsters, it's challenging if they are in a group. Playing as a Titan can be boring due to the limited attack options. The platforming is okay, but sometimes I ended up falling because the camera doesn't always follow Crash (the camera sucks).

The comedy aspect of the game is another area where it falls short. This game is simply not funny. The story is overly simplistic and the dialogues are dull. Unlike Crash Twinsanity for PS2 too, which has good story, cutscenes, jokes, and dialogues, "Crash of the Titans" lacks that classic Crash vibe - you know, the silly humor akin to a cartoon.

While "Crash of the Titans" is clearly a game intended for children, as an adult in my 20s playing it, I found it to be just a plain game that doesn't have the essence of the Crash bandicoot franchise.

The most underrated crash game
P979 June 2020
It's one of those crash games that I'll never understand the hate towards it, the sequel sure but this game is pretty kick ass as you can hijack and control a good veriety of mutants which is the main selling point of the game, the game also got new redesigns for the main characters that was alright in my opinion nothing to bad to hate about, the co-up is also really fun to do.

It's a great game, way better than people credit it to.

It's better than I thought it was.

This game Crash of the Titans is a breathe of fresh from it's previous crappy disappointments Wrath of Cortex and Twinsanity) Still I really didn't like how they change the characters appearance like Tiny, for instance, they made him look like an actual tiger even though he supposedly should look like a Tasmanian Tiger (trust me he should). However, What's done has been done.

The graphic and sound is amazingly good it really gets my attention however i didn't really like the fact that I little to no control of the camera.

The gameplay is pretty good it also gets my attention although sometimes it gets a little annoying and hard after a while.

Overall, it's really good still it's not the Crash Bandicoot I remember from when I was 7 but, it's a change of pace that's what matters to me. if you like Crash then try this game out.

This game has good graphics lots of missions and a good storyline. I don't get it why is so underrated. I had managed to beat in all modes but hard mode is so frustrating...need a lot of patience to finish it. I like most of the crash games but this is different. When i bought it i played all day every day. I dont know how many times I finished it,but for crash lovers i suggest this game,it not a waste of time. I wish they were more crash games like this. Especially the titans and the controls with them are so fun...there is a variety of titans to meet and control...but yes i still think this is a lovely game.

Warning: Spoilers
Dr Neo Cortex, the bane of Crash's life, has returned, this time intends to use 'mojo' to turn all the animals on Crash's island into giant monsters. To stop him, you must guide Crash through levels 'jacking' the large beasts. This means bashing a 'titan' until it's dazed, then jumping onto its back and taking control of it. Whilst this is fun to start with, it isn't long before you realise all the levels are more or less the same. Though the titans look different, there are only three basic types - the fist-fighters, the laser-shooters and the big bruisers. Most of the game consists of bashing beasts into submission. The problems arise when you try to jack one and find yourself surrounded by titans. They'll just bash you to death and you, as Crash, have no real defences. Despite this, I reached the final boss in only a few hours. I can't say I had much fun along the way. The gameplay switches from frustrating to completely uninvolving. The levels are all on set pathways, the platform areas lacking the imagination and innovation of earlier Crash platform games. Added to that is the seen-it-all-before scenery and the almost-static camera. Only the occasional (admittedly good) cut-scene reminds the player they're playing a Crash game. This game could have been made for any video game character. I can't honestly see any reason to play this game ever again. There's a two-player mode, as well as extras. On the way through the levels you can pick up all the 'extras' such as toilets (why is this game full of toilets?) but there's no real reward to make finding them worthwhile. Younger players might find something in this, but all I could find was one interesting idea padded out to a strictly average game. Is this the weakest Crash game yet? Not having played 'Crash Boom Bang', I couldn't tell you.
