The next morning, Graces gets out of her car, naked. She peels her bra off the windshield and gets dressed in the parking lot. Its rough going. She calls Rhetta, who tells her where to find her keys. Earl drops by, with water from the Swiss Alps. He puts an invigorating herbal compress from Thailand on her forehead and gives her a virgin bloody Mary from New Orleans. Earl notices the naked man in her backseat. Grace pukes. "So," Earl says, "you had fun last night."
Grace and Abby arrive at a crime scene. Grace finds Rhetta and apologizes for last night. An officer tells them the victim was pushed off the roof. Theres a boot print in the roof tar. A witness two blocks away gave a description. Abby asks the officer if the witness is sure about gender from that distance, but he ignores her. Hes upset she got the rotation with Grace over him. He tells Grace to ask Abby how she got the spot. When Abby goes after him, Grace tells Abby to walk away.
Grace talks to some teenagers who live in the apartment building. They watch a girl come oozing down the stairs, stoned out of her mind. Abby notices she fits the description. And she has tar on her boot.
At the station, Grace and Abby come rushing out of an interview room, holding their mouths. The suspect has barfed and passed out inside. Shes Sherry Jenkins, girlfriend of the victim Robbie. Another officer comes through the room and gives Abby the hairy eyeball. She opens her desk drawer and finds it full of condoms. Abby explains that officer caught her with his brother, who is also the father of her kid. She says theres no story to how she got the job.
Ham reports that a good neighbor watch program has called the police on Robbie frequently, saying hes dealing. But they havent found any evidence.
Perry tells Grace that Rhetta just left with her brother Johnny.
Rhetta and Johnny talk to the mother of the woman Leon hit with his car, trying to convince her to help Leon. She says her daughter was manic-depressive and was off her meds. She knows Leon isnt responsible. She thinks theyre an answer to her prayers.
Grace meets with a cop friend in the stairwell, a guy whos friends with the sergeant who assigned the 28 day rotation that Abby is on. She wants to know why Abby got bumped up.
Butch visits Rhetta, who says neither Sherry nor Robbies boots match the print on the roof. Shes also testing an earring to see if the blood is male or female.
Perry, who is dating the IA guy, tells Abby not to listen to the rumors about her sleeping her way to the top.
Grace talks with a good neighbor, Stevie, who says he didnt know Robbie. He was recently busted for heroin. Abby points out Robbie called him that morning. He says it was a wrong number. Grace gets his boot print. She takes it to Rhetta, who says the blood on the earring was female. Grace leaves then comes back, saying she knows what she and Johnny are up to. Rhetta says shes not going to leave things with Leon alone.
Ham and Butch visit Lilly, another good neighbor whos son was recently busted for heroin. She says shes late for work and leaves. They knock on another neighbors door and then hear a crash inside. They bust in to find two guys grappling over a shotgun. One with long hair busts free and whirls to take a swing at Butch. Its Bobby. To sell his cover they fight a little and arrest him along with the other guy.
At the station, Bobby tells Perry hes been working on the heroin pipeline and happened to be in the apartment when the body flew off the roof. He stayed put thinking something might be going down and, Perry points out, probably saved Ham and Butchs lives. But now that hes arrested his cover is blown so he gets to go back to being Bobby again. He says hi to everybody and hugs his family. But he needs to talk to Butch.
Perry tells Grace that Bobbys taking a few days off.
Bobby pulls Butch into the stairwell, wanting to know why he saw Bobbys truck parked outside his house late at night while he was gone. Butch protests that it was because Bobby asked him to look after them. He tells Butch to stay away from his family.
The eyewitness is sure a guy pushed Robbie off the roof, Grace tells Perry.
At home, Grace plays with Gus and Earl shows up. She asks why he helped her hangover. He wont make a habit of it.
Theres a knock at the door. Its the cop that she asked to look into Abby. He says its huge. He wants to be spanked for his information. Grace complies. Her sergeant didnt bump Abby up. Brad in Internal Affairs did.
Leon meets with Johnny, Rhetta and the mother of his victim. She tells him her daughter wanted to die and she should have said that at his trial. She wants to set the record straight. They have a lawyer ready. But Leon, who killed a prison guard once he was inside, doesnt think life in prison sounds that good. He says he wants to die. He wants it to end. Rhetta thinks they have a case for clemency. Leon doesnt think the family of the prison guard he killed will agree. Leon bit a chunk of his neck out and sat back down and finished his dinner. He says he had a life before the womans bitch daughter jumped in front of his car. He tells them to go to hell.
Butch says hi to Abby. She says Bobby called, saying he saw Robbie riding on a bike a lot. Abby checked it out and found heroin. Grace and Ham wonder why he didnt call them. Grace says they have to give him time. They decide to look into the parents of kids who bought heroin off Robbie.
Butch and Abby arrive at the same conclusion, realizing Robbies girlfriend Sherry might have traded sex for heroin from Stevie.
The cop who has it in for Abby stops by with the interview cards from the scene and gives her more crap.
In the stairwell, Grace says she has to tell Ham something. His phone rings. Sherry was stabbed. Grace tells Ham they have a rat.

Grace comes back from the crime scene and Abby is upset she wasnt allowed to go. Grace brings a kid named Paolo in. Lilly took him in when his mother ODd. Lilly tells him to be quiet, but he confesses.
Grace pulls Abby into an interview room, accusing Abby of being IA. She admits it immediately. She says shes good at her job, shes put two crooked cops away in the past. Grace tells her she doesnt have the heart of a cop. She opens the door and Ham releases rats into the room. Brad comes for her, calling Abby detective. Shell be working with him now.
