When Frank and Ada pick up Bobby for the outing to the hot springs, Bobby asks Frank about the large wound on his left cheek. In all of the subsequent scenes that day, the wound is gone.
When Esther gives Bobby the menorah and latkes, she tells him the story of her family in Dutch while holding him tight and sobbing. A moment later when Marjory walks into the room and Esther stands up, her cheeks are completely dry.
After the doctor examines Marjorie, when she finishes getting dressed, her right collar is curled up. While she's talking to the doctor, the camera angle changes and suddenly her collar is laying flat, although her arms are still at her sides.
When Ada holds her baby daughter, her head is covered during most shots, but during the opposing shots when she sneezes and when Derk takes her, her head is suddenly bare.
At Frank's funeral (an hour ten minutes into the film), Esther smokes a cigarette in her right hand. When the scene changes to a second camera, the cigarette is in her left hand; then, when the shot jumps back to the first camera, the cigarette is not only back in her right hand but held up to her mouth.
The KLM plane is shown landing in Karachi with mountains in the background. There are no mountains in Karachi. Also at Karachi airport Arabic is written on the walls. Urdu is the written and spoken language there.
