Nine-year-old African Joseph is in for a difficult start, after leaving his war-torn country to seek a better life in Ireland. But under those circumstances and as the new boy in his class, young Joseph is clearly an easy target, after all, he is a proper outsider, and as a result, a real magnet for the class' bullies. Then, inevitably, Joseph's mind wanders back to the carefree past and his colourful old schooldays; why should things be so different now? The sticky threats of the class alpha-male also demand appeasement. Will Joseph defend himself?
