One of my favorites, Steve Coogan is excellent.

I own the entire series of Curb and there are about ten or so episodes that I just have to see every few weeks or so and this is one of them. The story arc of the season is a driving force in this episode, but as always this doesn't mean there is a lack of any little side stories that keep Larry busy.I had never seen Steve Coogan before so I thought that he was just some unknown actor on my first viewing, and he blew my girlfriend and I away. We had to repeatedly stop and rewind his scenes because we just couldn't stop laughing. If Larry decides to do a season 7 I hope he thinks about keeping Coogan as a semi-regular character, and since he is his therapist it would be possible.

A new Larry
jotix10027 August 2012
Warning: Spoilers
We are surprised as this episode begins. Larry is a changed man! Could it be possible he is trying to win Cheryl's affections back? We see them at a cocktail lounge enjoying a few drinks. Larry promises he is changed, he is a new man! Cheryl has a problem taking Larry's word, deciding to check with Dr. Slavin, her therapist. Larry, who has been seeing Dr. Bright, decides on an action play to get his former wife.

Things do not go as well, as Dr. Bright assured Larry, so a new plan to charm Cheryl's therapist is put into effect. Dr. Bright will act as a mugger trying to steal Dr. Slavin's handbag as Larry, acting as the savior will get the bag to her owner. In the process, Dr. Bright is arrested by the police. Not only that, but Larry's shrink must suffer the indignity of staying in jail!

David Mandel directed this chapter. The writing, the best element in this series, is at its best. One wonders how does Larry David comes out with these funny situations which make the program such a wonderful experience to watch. The guest star is Steve Coogan, a funny man, himself as the therapist whose advice turns against him. The regulars do their best, as usual.

Coogan is brilliant!

This is easily my favourite episode. Such a funny story line. I love Dr. Bright played by Steve Coogan. A lot of the scenes had me crying with laughter. A great character that I would love to see return in the future.

Different show

Completely different show. Became so over the top and unbelievable from one season to the next. It's still funny but it's such a drastic shift. And now to write another sentence to get to 150 symbols.
