Weak literary devices litter this chapter

Nate miraculously piloting the right plane at the right time lacks credibility even if it nudges the plot along. Piecing together the shredded documents with Max is also a little ridiculous, but at least it is plausible. The fight with Davey is melodramatic in the extreme, again a plot device to fill in some of Cassie's childhood.

These issues weaken the episode and it is the first time the writers have leaned on such lazy crutches and is disappointing.

Crying, bad acting, drunk behavior, this show truly has lost its way. It had promise in concept, but the execution is just so bad.

Conspiracy Theories

There is a conspiracy of some kind.

Miranda is berated by her handler for messing things up.

Ani is given a stern talking to by her boss at the law firm.

Someone major is pulling the strings. It should be intriguing.

However the series just wants to drag things out and lose momentum. So I am not really interested in Cassie's story with her brother.

I'm finally getting bored

I was hoping that it would start being fun, but now it's just boring and annoying.

Token gay men have to be in this too - of course.

I get that she is drinking too much, but it's not funny any longer.
