A night. A driver. A lady in isolated bus station. And the polite gesture who you feel wrong in profound sense. A short film impressive for the great construction. High craft, wise use of special effects, smart adaptation of a legend with roots in many cultures, and beautiful made of atmosphere . Short, just admirable.

Fantastic Cinematography

I am a fan of old cinema. Rapid sequences of events and instant gratification to me are not items I can't live without. Cloven pays homage to true cinema, pure storytelling. Appropriately long shots and patient build up are what's happening here. And I'm more than happy to wait, full of intrigue and enjoyment for the actors nonchalantly playing out their characters' fates respectively. Well done to the filmmaker here for giving us an absolutely fulfilling six minutes. My only criticism is one scene where computer generated special effects inevitably make their appearance.
