Back to school

A school's 1987 time capsule is unearthed after 20 years, and inside are the incredibly gross remains of a long-missing student, a real brainiac whom everyone thought was going to be the next Bill Gates. An old yearbook leads B&B on the path to tracking down the boy's killer. Seems the kid invented a video game that was years ahead of the competition, and this plays into the plot. He also was sweet on a cheerleader, who harbors a deep, dark secret about their relationship. For the old timers in the audience, you will get to see the equivalent of a Commodore 64 in action. The killer is slightly less obvious in this episode than in many previous episodes, and may surprise a lot of you.

Liquefied bodies always very gross but the drilling and draining made it that much worse. Haha we now know why Bones hates Secret Santa. Yyayy Sweets is back. Booth was definitely one of "those guys". Booth you know those stories are not going to cut it. Ok Sweets you helped you can tell her and have a good night lol. A Long Time

I've been involved in a couple time capsules. Both times the results were just plain dull. It would seem that most of us lead rather uninteresting lives and what we put in and dig up 20 years later isn't important to anyone but ourselves. Or it is part of the showing off people like to do. This one, however, contains the decomposed remains of what turns out to be a young guy. Soon we are on a search going back, trying to dig up evidence that is darned near impossible. What needs to happen is for a weak link to appear, as it does here. I wasn't much interested in Booth's efforts to find an embarrassing moment. I did like Brennan's response to "He like the Cure."

"He loved The Cure" "For what? What did he have?"

A body is discovered in the time capsule from the class of 1987, dug up after 20 years. This year is my 20th high school reunion and all I can think is, these people look so old, there's no way we look this old!

After seeing this episode for the dozenth or so time, it only just occurred to me that the victim fathering a child shortly before being murdered makes the child, said to be a high school senior, just about 20 years old. While not unheard of, it is a tad strange.

Sweets is giddy over being, "in the field," but Hodgins points out they're in a secure (not so secure) lab. If only we could all find such joy in our jobs, sigh.

Time capsule soup

Warning: Spoilers
Loved- i love The time capsule trope that for some reason is always in tv shows. (Did anyone in real life actually ever do this?) none the less, it's fantastic!

Hated- i thought the reveal of what happened in the end was very sad.

Yuck, Yuck and even more yuck.

Warning: Spoilers
After the fab Intern episode this one is a huge disappointment.

Why the three Yucks?

80's - Yuck high school killing - Yuck and finally all that gloop which Dr B drains from the time capsule - stomach churning Yuck.

Bless them the cast do a good job with a very poor script.

The best bit the dinner smurf scene.

"You have your looks and a whole lot more." 5 stars just for that.
