Zendaya has been a part of some very successful projects. So much so, that every film that she seems to star in is getting more and more attention. The most recent addition to this list has been Challengers, which has taken the internet by storm. While the film was getting a lot of attention for some odd reasons when the trailer came out, that seems to have flipped since then.
Zendaya’s Challengers
It has become one of the most critically acclaimed films in the actress’s filmography, having an impressive, 7.8 out of 10 rating on IMDb. It would seem that this wasn’t only the case for her, as the movie just broke quite an impressive record.

“Daughter of Genghis” has been billed as a portrait of a nationalist gang leader at this year’s Hot Docs Film Festival. And while it follows Gerel Byamba, the leader of an entirely-female, ultra-nationalist Mongolian group called Gerel Khas, it is also a surprisingly poignant documentary portrait of a widow and her orphaned son trying to connect under grief. Directors Kristoffer Juel Poulsen and Christian Als (who also shot the film) follow Byamba and her son, Temuulen, for a seven-year span, capturing how sorrow can drive someone to extreme emotional states that manifest as both violence against one’s community and neglect toward those closest to you.
The doc begins with an aggressive, chaotic sequence. The first few minutes of “Daughter of Genghis” throw the audience into the throes of Gerel Khas’ “activist” work. Byamba and her comrades are shown charging into a sauna and harassing the sex workers who make a living there.

Pearl Jam appeared The Howard Stern Show this week, where they not only shared fascinating stories — like how drummer Matt Cameron once got a cease-and-desist letter from Kiss — but also performed a number of songs, including tracks from their new album Dark Matter and older hits like “Daughter” and “Yellow Ledbetter.”
The appearance was in support of the band’s 12th LP, Dark Matter, which debuted last week on April 19th and has earned praise from many, including Stem himself, who called it “a phenomenal fucking album.” When asked to perform a track from the record, Pearl Jam chose the opener, “Scared of Fear,” delivering the song’s heavy feel with uproarious energy.

Before I knew her as Archie Bunker's little girl Gloria on "All in the Family," I knew Sally Struthers as Rebecca Cunningham on "TaleSpin." A loving single mom and ambitious businesswoman whose outspoken personality belied her petite build, Rebecca -- aka "Becky," "Beckers," and the many other nicknames her responsibility-skirting, party-loving employee Baloo would use to refer to her -- was but one of many reasons to love the "Jungle Book"-inspired animated pulp period adventure series and Disney Afternoon staple. After years of trying (and failing) to keep the peace between her stubbornly conservative dad and her liberal, holier-than-thou husband Michael as Gloria in "All in the Family," Struthers was an expert in the art of sounding flustered, a talent that served her well on "TalepSpin."

Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter is a landmark provocation that dares the country music establishment to look itself in the eye. Nashville has spent decades marginalizing Black women like Linda Martell and Rhiannon Giddens, and outright ignoring the likes of Brittney Spencer, Tiera Kennedy, and Reyna Roberts. Beyoncé, inspired at least partially by the ugly fallout from her appearance alongside the Chicks at the CMAs in 2016, is now playing a game of chicken with Music Row. Are they really going to ignore one of the most prominent Black artists of the last 20 years when she comes to the gates of their white picket fences? And, if so, how are they going to reconcile that with their insistence that of course we aren’t racist with the fact that Beyoncé has proven that she knows exactly what she’s doing and why.

It's the episode we've all been waiting for -- Amanda Wagner's character-centric.
At the end of Will Trent Season 2 Episode 4, Amanda received a threatening phone call, had a nail in her tire, and found another message in the elevator.
Spoilers for Will Trent Season 2 Episode 5 indicate that the attacks against Amanda are personal. Before the Gbi can narrow the suspects down much, Amanda is found hovering over a dead body.
This person doesn't just want Amanda to suffer; they want her framed for murder. The race is on to clear Amanda's name and learn who has a long-time grudge against her.
This will be a fun, deep dive into Amanda's past. If they delve into any of Amanda's old cases, we will probably see the younger Amanda (Sydney Park).

From the start of Cowboy Carter, Beyoncé makes it clear this ain’t your typical country album. Opening epic “Ameriican Requiem” is part gospel, part-Queen, part-Buffalo Springfield as the artist lays out both her intentions and lineage. “Used to say I spoke ‘Too country’/And the rejection came, said I wasn’t ‘country ‘nough’/Said I wouldn’t saddle up/But if that ain’t country, tell me what is?” she sings from the gut, after listing off her bona fide country credentials.

Cowboy Carter sees Beyoncé exploring the country genre, with notable guests like Willie Nelson, but it is also an opportunity for her to show off her operatic skill. Album cut “Daughter” features the famous Italian aria “Caro Mio Ben.”
The acoustic guitar-led track tells a melodramatic, violent tale, with lines like “Now I ripped your dress and you’re all black and blue/ Look what you made me do.” It references Christian imagery, from rosaries to chapels, before Beyoncé launches an impressive rendition of “Caro Mio Ben,” which was written...

All told, Cowboy Carter spans 27 tracks (including interstitials) with a runtime of one hour and 18 minutes.

Beyoncé shared a new post on social media in which she seemingly dropped the track list of her new album, Cowboy Carter. The album includes collaborations with country music icons like Dolly Parton and Linda Martell.
The graphic, set to look like a rodeo poster, showcases that March 29 is when the album will be released. Previously released songs like “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages” appear next to titles like, “Ameriican Requiem,” “Blackbiird,” “Protector,” “My Rose,” “Bodyguard,” “Daughter,” “Spaghettii,” “Alliigator Tears,” “Smoke Hour II,” “Just for Fun,” “II Most Wanted,” “Levii’s Jeans,” “Flamenco,” “Ya Ya,” “Oh Louisiana,” “Desert Eagle,” “Riiverdance,” “Tyrant,” “II Hands II Heaven,” “Sweet Honey Buckin'” and “Amen.”
“Dolly P” appears in the poster, which is a nod to Parton’s song “Jolene,” which is rumored to be one of the songs Beyoncé is set to cover.

Prior to losing himself as the musical genius Leonard Bernstein in Maestro, Bradley Cooper starred as a similar figure alongside Lady Gaga in his directorial debut, A Star is Born. But the latter’s impact wasn’t limited to the silver screen, as apart from garnering several Academy nods following the film’s brilliance, it also sparked dating rumors between the two leads.
Following Gaga and Cooper’s impeccable chemistry in the film, it’s reasonable to see why many felt that way, and among those many, Cooper’s ex-wife also shared a similar sentiment on the matter.

Spyglass Media and Paramount Pictures wanted to move quickly on Scream 7… then the version of the film they wanted to move quickly on crumbled piece by piece. Scream (2022) and Scream VI directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are finishing work on their Universal Monsters movie Abigail (formerly known as Dracula’s Daughter), so with returning writers James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick working on the script, the companies hired Freaky and Happy Death Day director Christopher Landon to direct the film and started reaching out to actors. Jenna Ortega allegedly wanted a substantial pay raise to reprise the role of Tara Carpenter… and as we saw when Neve Campbell dropped out of Scream VI due to a pay dispute, these pay issues don’t tend to work out. So Ortega was out, but Melissa Barrera was on board to come back as Tara’s sister Samantha. Until she was fired from...

In 2013, Angela Patton gave a TEDWomen talk that described a father-daughter dance for incarcerated dads and their daughters. That talk was viewed over a million times and inspired the documentary “Daughters,” which has its world premiere Monday at the Sundance Film Festival.
In the film, Patton, who in the past decade has helped arrange approximately 15 Daddy Daughter Dances across the nation, and co-director Natalie Rae follow four young girls preparing for the event with their fathers in a prison in Washington, D.C. For some of the girls, the dance will be the only time they can touch or hug their fathers during sentences, some of which are as long as 20 years. The docu capture the girls as they get ready for the dance, while also filming the incarcerated fathers as they attend a part of the 12-week program within the jail that is meant to strengthen their relationship with their daughters.

Legacy Recordings is honoring the 30th anniversary of Pearl Jam’s seminal sophomore album Vs. with a series of special new releases, and Consequence has vinyl copies to give away to three lucky fans!
Each of the three winners will receive a 2xLP black vinyl edition of Vs., the 1993 follow-up to Pearl Jam’s game-changing 1991 debut Ten. With tracks like “Daughter,” “Dissident,” “Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town,” and “Rearviewmirror,” the album saw the grunge icons avert the curse of the sophomore slump, even becoming one of the few bands in Saturday Night Live history to perform three songs in an episode (rather than the standard two). Vs. also marked Pearl Jam’s first LP with producer Brendan O’Brien, who became their go-to collaborator for numerous subsequent records.

Daisy Ridley has a lot going on these days, but she made a point to carve out some time to support The Marsh King’s Daughter, a film that was a promotional casualty of the now-resolved SAG-AFTRA strike. The English actor has plenty of reasons to be proud of her work in Neil Burger’s thriller, as she’s tasked with playing the psychologically complex and physical role of Helena. As a child, the character lived off the grid with her mother (Caren Pistorius) and father (Ben Mendelsohn) until she was abruptly and dramatically whisked away to lead a more civilized life.
Ridley shares the role with Brooklynn Prince, who plays young Helena in flashbacks. The two actors happened to have a viral moment in 2017, as Prince met Ridley backstage at Good Morning America. Ridley then surprised Prince once more during a The Florida Project Q&a with THR’s Scott Feinberg.

André 3000’s debut solo album, New Blue Sun, is out now via Epic Records. Stream it on Apple Music or Spotify below.
The eight-song improvisational instrumental album is different from what fans might be expecting from the OutKast rapper: completely bar-free and no beats. Alongside the jazz musings of co-producer Carlos Niño, core sounds on the record include guitar, synth, and live sampling courtesy of Nate Mercereau, with Surya Botofasina on keyboards and synthesizers. André 3000 himself plays a variety of different wind instruments, including a digital wind instrument, a Maya flute, and others made of wood and bamboo.
“I’ve been interested in winds for a long time, so it was just a natural progression for me to go into flutes,” André said in a statement. “I just like messing with instruments and I gravitated mostly toward wind.”

André 3000 has announced the release of his long-awaited debut album, New Blue Sun, which will arrive on November 17th.
Right up front, however the OutKast rapper warns fans that the album is not a rap record. The cover artwork says as much, as it includes a label warning that the album contains “no bars.” Instead, according to NPR Music, New Blue Sun is an 87-minute collection of minimalist and experimental music featuring André 3000 playing a variety of flutes and other wind instruments. There are no bars, no beats, no vocals.
“I don’t want to troll people. I don’t want people to think, Oh, this André 3000 album is coming! And you play it and like, ‘Oh man, no verses,’ André 3000 said in an interview with NPR. “So even actually on the packaging, you’ll see it says, ‘Warning: no bars.’ It’s letting you know what it is off the top.
