First of all, I would blame who ever the hell that make the "cicak man" suits. I mean come on. The suit look outrageous and hideous. They need to fire whoever came out with the suit!

Second, The movie audio seems to be quite desynced with the video itself. A YouTube video is better synced than this movie!

Third, the acting is so-so. The main protagonist is a well known comedy actor in Malaysia. Well you can get the entertainment from that at least. Her love interest thought on the other hand, Tania is so cringeworthy I can barely watch it.

Fourth, the CGI although it looked really bad, I must say it's a positive side from a Malaysian movie. Well you can't compare the CGI to the current CGI.

P/s: Did I mentioned the suit is horrible?

I am really confuse how they having an idea for getting gecko ability by swallowing the gecko. It just sound not right and hilarious.

In my opinion, cicak-man would be recommend as villain rather be a super hero.

If spider-man had a dumb cousin

Cicakman is an abomination in every conceivable aspect. The story is basically a rip-off from other superhero movies like Spiderman but its handled by people who have no idea how to construct a logical narrative. The main character's, or any of the characters in this movie's, motivation remain unclear until the very end.

The main character's driving force as a character seems to flip flop with every scene you see him in. The film started with him falling for a girl but in the next scene they had a falling out in a way that is so poorly communicated but then he falls back in love with her after rescuing her from two annoying goons in an alley but he was too scared to face her so she meets the main character's roommate and they fall in love so the main character and his roommate had a falling out all of the sudden? Like... what? The structure of the film makes the minimum amount of sense because they put a montage of cicakman doing superhero duties AFTER he faces off with the main villain.

The finale of this movie reminds me so much of the rooftop scene from "The Room" but its somehow way worse than that because it barely had any charm in it. Characters just appear out of nowhere and the roommate character dies but no emotions were felt because the movie's direction is so aimless and confused.

The CGI is noteworthily bad and by bad I mean atrocious. Scenes look like they take place in an un-rendered backdrop for a Playstation One game. It looks like it is snowing at the exterior but only a few background characters actually wear winter clothes and every one else seem to wear clothes suited in a tropical setting.

I have never seen a movie so full of try-hard attempts at comedic performances and I think this is the film's biggest crime. Imagine Austin Powers but instead of one character playing the weirdo, you have an entire ensemble playing insufferable caricatures.

Way ahead of its time

Cicakman is among the first movie to apply CGI and the most usage of CGI in Malaysia.Shout out to KRU for daringly take the risk to introduce and bringing up the CGI to the local film industry despite of being criticized and compared with other Hollywood movies.

Every aspect of this movie is decent.Each actor put an amazing work especially the main character.Saiful Apek,AC Mizal and Aznil Nawawi are thoroughly funny and edgy that makes this movie alive.Besides,the screenplay is brilliantly written to engage with audience.

Overall,Cicakman is a great popcorn flick and enjoyable for general viewers.Also keep in mind that this movies is not for audience that keep comparing between local and foreign movie to downgrade their own local industry.

My childhood fav!

Such a great CGI/VFX back then! Even though not as good as marvel but still respectable cuz it's coming from Malaysia !

I loved the script, idea of a new city Metrofulus!

Loved the franchise so much till today! Idk y the rating is 3.5/10!

Its Just Like Style Of Spiderman...And this Movie is Really Best. Awesome CGI.
