It was five o'clock in the afternoon of Nov. 23, 1979, when Benny Lilja and Svartenbrandt rushed into the post office on Döbelnsgatan in Stockholm with rubber masks depicting Elvis Presley and John Travolta over their faces and with AK-4s in their hands. During the flight after the robbery, Svartenbrandt fired 19 shots into a police bus from the Östermalm police where the policemen Christer Backman, Gunnar Andersson and Dick Gunnelöf were. All were shot.
