The musician has enjoyed a variety of screen roles since launching his acting career in 1990 gangster drama The Krays, and he stepped behind the camera to helm a 17-minute short called Karma Magnet in 2008.
Now his first full-length feature film as a director - a horror movie called Stalker - has been given an official release date of 30 January, 2012. Kemp announced the news on Twitter.com by linking to a promo poster for the film alongside the message: "Check this".

Producer Jonathan Sothcott just dropped us a line to let you know about his next project before his remake of The Asphyx. Buckle up, kids, and get out those dollar bills! It's time for the showdown of the century - Strippers vs. Werewolves! Oh, how we love our job!
"The script has been written by a very talented guy named Pat Higgins, who has made a string of micro budget genre films in the UK including Hellbride, KillerKiller and Bordello Death Tales," says Sothcott. "His stuff is very stylish, and he's already developed quite a cult following. We'd been chatting about doing something together, and he said he was working on a script called Strippers vs. Werewolves. 'This I must see,' I thought. I read it and absolutely loved it - as a child of the 80s I grew up on Fright Night, Vamp, Once Bitten, The Lost Boys,...

British producer Jonathan Sothcott got in touch with news of a UK DVD release for his new fright feature Wishbaby. The movie, in which an urban teenager is granted the knowledge of how to create the titular living and deadly doll, arrives April 13 from 4Digital Media.
“I’m really thrilled that Wishbaby will finally be born when it is unleashed on a fully loaded disc,” Sothcott tells Fango. “A week before that release, it will have a limited theatrical run in London, which is so exciting. The film will resonate with people, as it has a pretty grim urban setting indicative of the tough times we live in.”
“Wishbaby is a challenging film that will surprise people,” adds writer/director Steve Parsons. “The wishbaby itself is a mischievous little chap, and I think this release will win it a lot of fans. I’m still hard at work on the follow-up,...
