  Zane : [grins]  I thought you'd come around. The owners of the yacht are friends of my Dad's. They're offering $10 000 to anyone who could bring it back in one piece.

  Rikki Chadwick : And you think we can?

  Zane : Do I think a mermaid can find something at the bottom of the ocean?

• Rikki Chadwick : I saw the crate coming down,

  [winces] 

  Rikki Chadwick : and that was it until I opened my eyes and saw you guys.

  Zane : [scoffs, shakes his head]  You really had me worried there.

  Cleo Sertori : Serves you right. If you hadn't pressured her into chasing that reward, none of this would have happened.

  Rikki Chadwick : He didn't.

  Emma Gilbert : [shakes her head]  Rikki, don't cover for him.

  Rikki Chadwick : I'm not. I was the one doing all the pressuring. He told me to forget about it, but I wouldn't.

  [shakes her head] 

  Rikki Chadwick : And when I got hurt, he saved me.

  Emma Gilbert : And the lying to us?

  Rikki Chadwick : I knew you'd believe the story if it came from me.

  Cleo Sertori : Why?

  Rikki Chadwick : I told you. The money. I need it for my Dad. He can't cover the bills or the rent. We might have to move away.

  Cleo Sertori : From us?

  Rikki Chadwick : He's thinking about leaving for good.

  Zane : Why didn't you ask me? I can handle any bills you've got.

  Rikki Chadwick : That's why I didn't tell you. We don't take charity. And, yeah, I know you guys would all wanna help, and I appreciate that, but... we can't take any money. Dad and I will sort it out. I'm really sorry I lied to you.
