Better than you might expect

I found this while scrolling through Amazon Prime, and I didn't expect too much since it was obviously a very low budget indie (and props to Amazon for picking up obscure indie work like this). A lot of these are kind of unwatchable, but this one actually kept me all the way through. I'm not saying it's great, but it has some charm to it and it is occasionally effective thriller-wise. Dolly Gray does a good job carrying scenes. Like a lot of (presumably) phone-shot pseudo-vlogs, it does suffer a lot from bad micing. I had to play with the volume a lot and rewind to pick up dialog. I assume the "Random as hell" reviewer probably missed a lot of critical plot points that way. It can be pretty confusing if you don't go back and listen carefully. The subtitles help a little but at least on AP, they're not much better than the sound track. It also probably was not necessary to give the Asian receptionist a broken accent. Kinda heavy on stereotypes all around. But it was entertaining.

Random as hell

Warning: Spoilers
This movie was not at all what I expected. The format of filming it through her social media live was cool. BUT it took an HOUR just to see any real action. The description made it seem paranormal but it was about a psychotic break and end in necrophilia. Very disturbing and pointless. Throw out the whole script. The main character Dolly was charming and realistic however the storyline was not. Wasted my time.

Well Done!

As a carnivore of tv and film as of late, I seldom take the time to watch independent productions from beginning to end. I usually get turned off within the first 10 minutes - usually because something was painfully lacking. Whether it be the cloudy sound quality, the mediocre acting, inconsistent lighting, or a classically bland story line --- something about many of the modestly budgeted indie projects that I have come across usually serves a good sleep aid for me. But not with Dolly Gray's "The Industry Did It." The combination of Ms. Gray's storyline and performance was delightfully captivating. Like many of the tv and film projects that I do enjoy, this masterful indie evoked a wide range of emotions throughout - and kept me locked into the story line down to the very end. Without giving any of the actual story line away, I respectfully rate this project a 10.

I was blown away! The acting, twists, the totally unexpected, perfectly blended, scenes and scene structure. The subject matter.. All Top NotchThe way it held my attention at the from start to finish. Exciting, engaging, an exquisite gem to be cherished and enjoyed by everyone lucky enough to find it. I just watched it, aaand I'm gonna watch it again. So I'd personally recommend that anyone do themselves a favor, and take the time to take in this masterpiece.
