Really Good
Supermanfan-1314 December 2023
I was a fan of of the original Power (except for the terrible ending) and have enjoyed all of the spin-offs so far too but I have to say that Power Book IV: Force has been my favorite of them all. None are as good as the original but this is the closest of them. It still follows the original in terms of action, drama, etc. And even the pace feels like the original. Having said that, it still feels original and can stand alone. Obviously, Tommy Egan was a huge fan favorite and is the main reason why this show is good. Theresa best thing about this show is Joseph Sikora as Tommy, he just does such a great job with the role and the supporting cast all hold their own in this too. This is a must watch for any fan of the Power universe. I'm really looking forward to future seasons.

Tommy's Back!
Rob133117 October 2022
Power Book IV: Force is the third and easily the best of the spin-offs from Power. I've been a fan of Power and all the spin-offs but I like this one the most. That's obviously because the story is about the best character in the entire Power universe...Tommy Egan! It's almost impossible not to root for him. If you didn't fall in love with Tommy in Power, you definitely will here. It follows Tommy as he leaves New York a wanted man and goes to Chicago to make a name for himself and eventually take over. He breaks all the local rules to become the biggest drug dealer there. It's non stop action that will keep you at the edge of your seat throughout the series. This series is good from the first episode through to the last. If you're a fan of Power or looking for a gritty gangster show then you'll love this!

Take the unrealistic original Power and dial it up to 10
bangotti19 April 2022
Just straight fun. For those that liked the slower original, this might be too bombastic for you.

But let's be real; Power was far from realistic, unlike The Wire or other crime related dramas.

This is a more fast paced, exciting adrenaline rush.

And I really enjoyed it the most due to Joseph Sikoras Tommy Egan. Just a balls to the wall dude.

It is cartoonish but in the right way. Far better than mumble mouth Tariq series.

I Love Tommy Egan
taravdh-9485029 October 2023
I have watched the original Power twice, not for the main character but for Tommy Egan, n the show wouldn't have been as good without him..

He's wit n charm makes me laugh even when his being serious He has that cheeky chappy charm about him that makes his character lovable but just like that he can switch that charm into a Psychopath that takes no chit..

I only watched a couple eps of the Tariq Power n that's all I could handle as I can't stand that kid, he's a great actor but I don't like the character he plays n I personally think it can lead kids down the wrong path just like it did him seeing what he's dad done in Power..

Force is way better than all the Powers put together n I really hope they do many seasons of this cos I will never get bored watching Tommy Egan stuffing his face in nearly every eps n the smirk on his face when things go his way, like they always do...

Keep them coming Best Power show yet...

TOMMY DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!!!
chazwrx19 September 2023
The power franchise is the most addictive tv out there. I didn't think anything would compare to the original show but FORCE and Tommy have the same intense and powerful story and you could hope for. The show has not gone soft, which I originally thought might be the case, shows have a tendency to start off strong and slowly fade. Not this one! Force is is action packed and has all the violence and dark feel that made you fall in love with power in the first place. If you like action packed underworld thriller shows you can't stop watching till it's 5 am and you have work at 6, then this show is for you.

So far, the best show in the Power Universe
atdmv10 July 2022
I started out really disliking Tommy in the original show, but his growth as a character made me appreciate his motivations and actions. He is still a deplorable person, but it makes for a great entertaining show.

Tommy Flanagan is 100% Scottish NOT Irishman.
wolflover-6948130 July 2022
Tommy and The Head of Flynn family is the best. It's so funny the keep on calling walter Flynn irish.

Anyone can HEAR the difference between scot and irish. Not Hollywood.

I need this show to continue!!! Don't leave us like that
skyboo13213 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Tommy has always been Tommy since power original show but this Tommy is different but still the same. He has his own and he's calling the shots plus he has family in the mix. He's learning a lot and also in love. He's different with Mireya than he was with Keisha and holly. I NEED to see more. Every eps. It kept getting better and better. Like the writers know what they are doing!!! The ending I kept saying please don't be the end. We ALL need more. 50 cent knows what he's doing making money like always and see why. All theses shows are good. But Tommy was the best so far in my opinion. Season 3 needs to happen!!!

Probably the best since original Power, but clichéd and cartoonish.
BoringJoe1 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Everything is far too neat in how things seem to work out to the point it becomes completely unrealistic. Yes I know it's a fictional show, and yes I know we must suspend or unbelief, but there should be an element of authenticity. Yet Tommy just happens to come into contact with all the most powerful people in Chicago in what's supposed to be a random sequence of events.

Then the Flynn daughter who has never met him, and vice versa, and really still has no clue (as does anyone) who Tommy really is, just randomly runs him off the road and tells him she's got some new secret product just because.

It's lazy writing. Everyone is super gangster to the point it is cartoonish. I don't blame the actors, I blame the writers. Everything flowed in the original. Sequences played out into plotlines. They need to do better.

Excellent show, except LILI SIMMONS so UNCONVINCING!!!!
vlm195313 November 2023
Absolutely love this show despite the over the top violence, strictly because of JOSEPH SIKORA's phenomenal performance!! Awesome actor, surrounded by other talented actors. The ONLY downside of this show is LILI SIMMON's completely unconvincing attempts at trying to act/be ruthless and threatening. Total joke, she merely comes off as someone PRETENDING to be tough by adapting a stupid walk, ridiculous facial expressions, and goofy vitriol, just plain SILLY!!!! She is so out of her league and it makes her standout, but for the wrong reasons. Wish they would recast, but just my opinion. Otherwise love this storyline.

The Spark is Missing
codegreg21 February 2022
Where to start. First off, it's definitely good to see Tommy back and I'm glad hes getting a fresh start BUT the show isn't even close to being as interesting as Power or Book II (I cant speak on Book III since I still havent finished it). It's even a bit boring at times in these first couple of episodes.

Like Jamie and even Tariq, Tommy is a very interesting character but the difference is Jamie and Tariq also had an excellent supporting cast of characters in their story and Tommy just doesn't have that. They have potential but a but of the spark is missing with the cast as a whole.

The location is also a bit of a hindrance for me. It should've taken place in L. A. or somewhere colorful to give it more of a glamorous and different asthetic for Tommy. The grainy look of the show makes it feel dreary and I think Tommy deserves better than that. Even the city lights at night look bland in the show.

The locations is a done deal but I hope the character stuff improves in the second half of the season.

Super Thug
weltsr-5119317 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
All Tommy needs to make this farce complete are tights, cape and a mask. Single handedly taking over the under world in Chicago? About as believable as him killing off an entire mob family without a scratch at the end of the original show. Just a little realism could make this a drama worthy of the Power moniker.

One, two, .. Tommy's coming for you....
gregorionchant20 February 2022
Beats PBI II and III... by a noticeable margin.

The story line is way more focused. Yes, there are peripheral characters as in the other "books", but here, we have a more singular approach, where Tommy is the focal point and everything that happens kind of revolves around him.

And it works. Well.

It's kind of like Howard Stern - "you just wanna tune in to see what he says or does next."

This was sorely lacking in the previous 3 series, which were structured by overly drawn out plot lines involving too many characters.

In my opinion, this is the "book" they should have come out with first, and just ran with it.

This could easily run a few seasons, and it's a solid 8/10.

I rate the previous "books" a 6.5/10 comparatively.

Plus, ...that car !!

I'm enjoying this one
moniquerich14 March 2022
So far, Force is turning out to be pretty good. Tommy is, well, Tommy. I like the new characters and the storyline. I'm not from Chicago, but I love what I'm seeing. The rivalries are great between the Irish, the Serbians, and the black people. I'm only on episode 6, and I can't wait for the next 4!

Finally...
Veritas996 February 2022
Tommy is back, that Power Book II with Tariq is unwatchable, is has nothing from Ghost charisma... Can't wait to see Tommy's new adventures, hopefully without Tariq's face anywhere in it.

Very Entertaining! Great Casting!
skip-9875610 September 2023
Sikora's steals the show with a compelling performance and very likeable character.

Sure he's over the top, intense, yet funny at other times..supporting cast is well done with tommy flanagan and lili simmons being perfect as antagonists .. Lili was a tough character in Banshee and here , she is dialed up to 11 on the badass scale! She looks especially hardened and coarse looking here in this show vs Banshee and it adds to her tough character... Sikora does the white boy acting like a black man role so well ,its just a blast watching him "do his thing".. you know he is walking a path to danger but the ride there is so interesting you cant turn away...Very entertaining, and I like the full 1 hr format... I am Not however, liking this new "Forced minimum character business in regards to review length"... not everyone wants to write War and Peace! Sometimes people have a few comments to share and that should be acceptable..

Best of the power series
brandonneicke28 February 2022
This is even better than the original. Minus ghost and he's a character and actor that can never be forgotten. This is the best quality of writing in the universe and it's definitely got some great new Actors added. Quality directing and over all a real banger of a show. I can't give it 10 because what would I give shows like the wire and breaking bad? However I'm comparison to any new stuff it's a 10 today.

Fish out of water, gangster style!
wjosephjorob16 February 2022
How could they make a character that's despicable be so cool, this program manages to do that, we get a Tommy Egan T. V. show set in Chicago, he's virtually a fish out water in the criminal landscape of the city, trying to find a way to be successful doing it the only way he knows how to, by being vicious and ruthless, if you could stomach the language and attitudes then you're going to be O. K. The criminal element going up against this dude, better be ready, he survived New York, he's only around to make money and won't let anything get in his way, very good first two episodes of this program, looking forward to watching this show, wait till one of my favorite characters show up in that city, Two-Bit, this is one thirsty dude probably just as bad as Tommy, another survivor looking for a come up, the Power universe is very entertaining so far.

Nothing out of the box or new.
AfricanBro13 February 2022
It's too early to say but I do like how it's starting off, despite what I'm about to say now. I still have a couple issues, not problems but issues. It's just all a bit cliche-ridden. The Irish gang... the leader is sick, probably dying of cancer, still drinking for the pain and doesn't want anyone to know or see a doctor 'cause of his ego, he's sexist so wants his short sighted hothead son to take lead after he dies yet his daughter is more competent but she's just doing the books instead. Says it's a "man's work". Cliche. She's also seems unemotionally attached to any partners she has, boss lady vibes and I'm sure at some point she's gonna say something similar to "you men don't know how to do business" or "there's a smarter way to solve this than using brute force". Potential cliche. Tommy falls for a girl he just met at a bar that was only supposed to a short stop, he drops everything for her and decides he wants to stay. Tough guy goes and starts trouble for her ex, who coincidentally is also the son of his soon to be rival, just doesn't know it yet. They're probably gonna have a fight soon and the girl is gonna feel bad but still stick with Tommy. It's going to be the new guy in town getting the girl and going against the established mogul father.

I could keep going on and on but you get the gist, there's nothing new or out of the box about what's happening in the show, though we must remember it's only just started. I just can't help but think that my love for power and Egan's character is the only reason that's letting me overlook this and enjoy the show. It's good so far, but nothing out of the ordinary to set it apart. Book ii with Tariq was great, well thought out and unique, especially the just finished season, this just feels like "let's give Tommy Egan a spin-off too, fans will like that". I'll have to wait to see how the season progresses to cement my opinion of the show.

Welcome to Chicago
kohenry4 March 2022
Interesting! I think it's better than Tariq side of book II. Just need a little more time to build characters surrounding the city. I think Tommy is gonna make a blast in Chicago.

The Flynn's are not irish
Cutegal120 February 2022
The producers of this show need to do more research - the Flynn's accent is Scottish so unless they've got Scotland and Ireland confused- they need to hire Irish actors or stop calling the Flynn's Irish !!!

Surprisingly bad. Too much each episode.
pytpassions20 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I'm extremely disappointed. Tommy was one of my favorite characters in Power. The 1st episode had way too much going on and no substantial character developments. The brother thing came out of nowhere, rushed, and just flat out weird. Way too much was going on and it just didn't make alot of sense. Hoping it gets better.

Promising but...
Cristian_Z4 August 2022
As a Power fan, I gave it a 10 but:

  • the story feels a bit rushed or on fast forward sometimes
  • some events in the first episodes are given to us without much context
  • the only thing that annoys me the most is the use of Tommy Flanagan, Scottish actor, using his Scottish accent to portray an Irishman. Some here in the UK might call it blasphemy. On this part, they could've done much better.

Other than that, Joseph Sikora is at its best as Tommy Egan.

Great, but....
FortyFiversNBG7 August 2022
I'm a 'Power' fan for life, the only thing that bothers me is the 'broken Russian' instead of Serbian... Too many serious Serbian actors who could play Mirkovic and the gang, and make it more genuine, but you picked those guys... smdh.

Tommy Flanagan-Absolute Gem
jakewazoo24 March 2022
Love this series. I watched previous seasons/series in this whole thing they got going here, this "Universe", and always wanted to see more of Sikora.

This show takes the cake though. These two guys, Tommy Flanagan and Joseph Sikora, eat up absolutely every scene they are in. It's great entertainment. Personally, I would see anything with Flanagan in it. Scene ripper!! I don't care what accent he's using! I could only hope there's more of this to come.

Also a great soundtrack. Top notch toonz, no cheeze.

Bad points--Lili Simmons. Tough to watch. Somethings off with her. I can't quite put my finger on it. Bad casting. Also, some of Tommy Egan's clothing choices are throwing me off too.

Bammo!! On Episode 7.
